Do u happen to have compression enabled by chance in ur twrp backup settings? If so try disabling it.

Thanks for the input. It's appreciated. Yes I've done it both ways with compression on and off a few different times. I can't get it figured out at all. I can't back the Rom up to even try to restore. For now I'm just hoping that nothing happens to where i need to restore.

I find that using hangout for sms and mms work out the box, no need to change the apn

What the heck. My hangouts will send the messages but not in mms. It just sends multiple sms. And sending a photo just hangs in limbo unsent.

Did u want to use hangouts? If not disable hangouts sms in the hangouts settings.

some one stated that they had hangouts with working mms strait out of the box. mine does not. i like hangouts, but i like the stock messaging app better. i dont think they are being totally forth coming.

My mms is working out of the box with hangouts. The stock messaging app (which I prefer) does not work with MMS. I have not tried the APN fix that was posted earlier in this thread.

HANGOUTS WORKS!!!!! this is great. now i can wait as long as they need to perfect this near perfection.

what the heck!!! i used it without making any changes, then i went in and matched yours and now its not working again. lol


OK. So it seems i can only get Hangouts working from original flash. without making any corrections to the app APN.

But i would prefer to close this one and open a new one. Because if the new version solves the MMS issue. That is pretty much what the past 42 pages are talking about. But i have to say, if this new version solves the MMS issue right out of the box on the stock messaging app. There isnt going to be many pages on the new thread other than just post after post of YOU ARE THE MAN.

I will offically be saying i have a Note 2.5 if this rom is all i hope it to be.

I've tried so many roms for my Note 2 other than this one. I see many good comments regarding this rom and I'm going to give the new build a try. I will be backing up my rom again and wiping all data and sdcard (which I always do before new rom install) before loading.
