No I have not, and I cannot, plus not to mention every update you would have to unlock the bootloader, and that would factory reset your device every time.Have you tested unrooting it after this modification, would it still hold the N77 access?

My dad had a Verizon Pixel 6 (with mmWave), his speeds were always the same since he got it, up to a few months ago when he traded it in for a Pixel 7 and got the P7 for $~60.Yeah that was my worry too I know that the modem on the Pixel 6 sucks but I've heard it's gotten better with the latest software updates and if you flash certain radio that they just released I guess it's much better But then again I don't know.
I may just go ahead and get them Moto edge Plus because it's got all the new bands and MM Wave and it's price can't really be beat and just deal with boost Mobile AT&T for a year now I don't know I asked the question on Reddit and I haven't gotten a response yet but I asked if it's a software-based carrier lock or if you enter another SIM if it asks you for a code I haven't heard back but I know of a website that says it can give you the unlock code for like 13 14 bucks and I've had some friends use it for the lower end g stylus phones and such and it worked.
Sorry to clog your thread with information that has nothing to do with the post
Yeaaaa, I noticed that, but didn't understand it, not sure what they are trying to accomplish, however, Verizon doesn't use N78 (yet), which is probably why this mod worksHi just realized the way Onplus code ths <carrier_policy.xml> is very suspecious. Notice the real band numbers are 1+ higher than the coded ones.
For example, Verizon's true LTE bands are: 2 4 5 13 46 48 66
But they put down these instead: 1 3 4 12 45 47 65
WTF?!!!
Same for the 5G bands, looks at my screenshot:

You already have the untouched "generic_band_restrictions.xml" file, I know this because A. My mod doesn't touch it, and B. Even if you did modify it, for example, you delete everything from it, as soon as you restart your phone, it will revert back to stock. Are you referring to OOS 11, or OOS12 and 13?@rmendez011
Could you post a screenshot of original <generic_band_restrictions.xml>from OOS13? Untouched. Since I haven't start my hack yet.
I want to see what 5G bands are being excluded there.
You can probably enable 5G on your OnePlus 9 Pro if you went to an AT&T store and asked an employee to whitelist your IMEI as a OnePlus 10 Pro, not guaranteed it will happen thoughThis is amazing work! Too bad we can't do something similar to make 5G work on AT&T but this means I can keep my OnePlus 9 as my device for my SafeLink Verizon SIM (which gets access to C-band), use Boost Mobile in my Pixel 7 Pro, and use Tello and Boost Infinite in my S23 Ultra.
Not worth the hassle. I don't have AT&T postpaid service so they're unlikely to want to deal with me. I'll just use my SafeLink SIM in my OnePlus 9. That's an adequate backup device for me.You can probably enable 5G on your OnePlus 9 Pro if you went to an AT&T store and asked an employee to whitelist your IMEI as a OnePlus 10 Pro, not guaranteed it will happen though
I had 5g service on My OnePlus 8 5G with Android 11 with AT&T, even though it wasn't whitelisted for 5g, updating to oos12 took 5g Away, I'm curious if you downgraded to Android 11 on the 9 if the 5g would work.9 Not worth the hassle. I don't know that I ever tested it on 11. It's not a huge deal either way. I will use the S23 Ultra for my Boost Infinite physical SIM and Tello eSIM and my Boost Mobile (both Boost plans are AT&T for now) will go in my Pixel 7 Pro. The difference about Android 11 is the AT&T modem file was basically wide open but Verizon's modem file was filled with three different ways to disable 5G for the OnePlus 8, when I upgraded to Android 12 I also lost 5G for AT&T so their modem file for AT&T got updated to include the same language that Verizon included in their modem file so perhaps if you really want 5G on your AT&T device or your OnePlus device I may say try going to Android 11
Yeah it's just an option I mean if you ever want to tinker around go ahead and try it and let me know if it works for you.I don't know that I ever tested it on 11. It's not a huge deal either way. I was on F.18 the entire time I tested this mod, and yesterday night I updated to F.20 so I had to do the same mod again, I haven't been able to connect to N77 again, a few weeks ago N77 disappeared at my house, I have been able to test it in other areas, I hope the F.20 update did not break this mod, it shouldn't have as I published this mod yesterday afternoon and F.20 came out the first.Hmm. Doesn't seem to have worked on my 9 (yes, it's LE2115). Maybe this thing just doesn't have a very good antenna. It hops on 5G for a split second and then drops back to 2xCA LTE. I pulled the file from QPST a second time to make sure it was updated. I'll have to remember to bring the phone with me when I go to my partner's house tomorrow night or Wednesday since there is a C-band tower right there. Could just be that my house is too fringe for the OnePlus 9 to grab onto (which is weird because my Pixel 7 Pro can get 200-300Mbps in the same spot).
I just checked and I'm on F.18. I stuck the SIM in my Pixel and at least connected to 5G nationwide, which wasn't happening on the OnePlus either (but I seem to remember that has always been a problem on this phone with Verizon for me), but it did not hop onto C-band so maybe they did something and broke it. I know this mod worked on F.18, hmm, tomorrow, I will test to see if I can connect to N77 in an area I know has N77.I just checked and I'm on F.18. Oh no I meant Verizon may be having issues since my Pixel didn't pick up C-band either (and it was the first to pick up C-band on my SafeLink SIM which is why I know SafeLink gets C-band). I'll let you know later this week what my findings are.I know this mod worked on F.18, hmm, tomorrow, I will test to see if I can connect to N77 in an area I know has N77.
Ok so I have confirmed with an iPhone 12, that N77 is not working on the OnePlus 9 Series with this mod. But! A big but at that, I think I know the solution to this issue, I will test the fix and publish the results.Oh no I meant Verizon may be having issues since my Pixel didn't pick up C-band either (and it was the first to pick up C-band on my SafeLink SIM which is why I know SafeLink gets C-band). Great news, I have confirmed that I made the mod incorrectly, I have applied the fix and will be updating the guide, give me a few minutes!Oh no I meant Verizon may be having issues since my Pixel didn't pick up C-band either (and it was the first to pick up C-band on my SafeLink SIM which is why I know SafeLink gets C-band). Updated guide now available, sorry about the wrong steps, I have confirmed N77 is working after the latest fix.Oh no I meant Verizon may be having issues since my Pixel didn't pick up C-band either (and it was the first to pick up C-band on my SafeLink SIM which is why I know SafeLink gets C-band). My phone is still doing the same thing dumping 5G immediately for LTE. I didn't get to go to my partner's house today but I'm going tomorrow, I'll test then.Updated guide now available, sorry about the wrong steps, I have confirmed N77 is working after the latest fix.
@intheb0x, @lbyinchina, @-4ndr01d- please do the updated mod, the previous mod is redundant, you can keep it how it is, or you can revert it back to stock, could be useful whenever Verizon fully launches N78.
Yea, sorta the same thing at my house, it gets a weak N77 signal, around ~80-120 Mbps down, randomly it jumps to LTE, or 4G because of this ColorOS BS.My phone is still doing the same thing dumping 5G immediately for LTE. I actually "included" N78 in the "carrier_policy.xml" file as it was missing before, and it survives restarts, what doesn't survive restarts is the "generic_band_restrictions.xml" file, I remove the N77 exclusion from that but every restart/every ~12ish hours N77 reappears in the exclude section.Very interesting to say the least I would assume you are just connected to 77 I don't know why it would say 78? I do not think n78 is enabled anywhere for Verizon yet.
But are you on Android 13 and you're rooted I take it?, Is it the same instructions to enable n77 as it was before with Android 11?
Did you install anything or you just tried the code and you were able to get into those menus after being rooted?
