These kernels are ONLY meant for DJ05/DL09 (Fascinate) , DI14 (Mesmerize) and DJ20 (Showcase)!

Below please find kernels using the latest Voodoo5 lagfix code, for the VZW Fascinate, USCC Mesmerize, and Cellular South Showcase. Updated now with Supercurio's Voodoo Sound enhancements! Download voodoo control app from the market to tweak your audio settings. If you enjoy Voodoo Sound, please consider purchasing the donate version of the app. Nobody works harder than Supercurio!

Kernels include various tweaks for performance and speed, and have also been slightly undervolted to be nice to your battery. They are NOT overclocked, as IMO, there is no benefit to overclocking other than inflated benchmarks and worse battery life.

These packages will also flash a modified version of clockworkmod recovery. This recovery will work for nandroid backup/restore, as well as flashing roms/zips. There is also a Voodoo menu in the recovery, to let you change Voodoo specific options. I also have added additional options to the Advanced options menu. If you have issues with this recovery, DO NOT BUG KOUSH. Bug me instead.

DO NOT used Rom Manager to reboot into recovery if using these kernels. If you do, you will boot into Koush's version of recovery. Either use the 3 button combo or adb reboot recovery.

To disable Voodoo lagfix, simply boot into recovery, go to the Voodoo menu, and select 'Disable lagfix'. Then reboot your phone, and listen for confirmation that Voodoo lagfix has been deactivated.

If you have any questions about what Voodoo lagfix is or does, please refer to Adrynalyne's recent threads on the topic. I am not responsible for any mistakes that are made due to a lack of understanding of this code.

Full credit for Voodoo lagfix and sound code goes to supercurio, I merely ported it to these devices.

Enjoy.

I admit I didn't read all of it... Somehow I skipped straight over the part I needed to see.

I'm guilty of being busy at work & reading it at the same time... Please disregard my dumbass question earlier.

Yea, I'm guilty of the same usually...

JT, possible to re-enforce the DJ05/DI14 requirement in the OP a little bit better?

JT, it appears that Voodoo 5 doesn't detect my phone model. Is there a way around this check or force it to see it as SCH-I500?

Model detection is done via mbr. Are you running an older version of voodoo? That's the only reason your mbr should be different.

I did at one point & reverted back to RFS due to some experimentation of my own. Is there a way that I can correct the MBR in order to get Voodoo 5 to work? I'm fine with utilizing Linux commands to get it back to normal.

Round 2: I was able to restore the MBR & have Voodoo 5 setup go through but now it shows none of the prior settings. It's defaulted to the system default & has a ton of FCs. It appears that mount & df show everything correctly but /etc/fstab doesn't exist. I noticed that there is a /voodoo/root/etc/fstab but that doesn't have anything in it.

Is there a workaround for this to work? Would recreating the fstab fix this?
