Just a few comments about your unlocker:

1) Unlocker needs itsutils.dll and pdocread.exe in folder c:\unlocker otherwise it doesn't work
2) device needs to be RAPI unlocked first
3) unlocker reads 8 bytes starting at offset 0xfc of BK1C, this will work on most touch devices, but not on all, see example output:

HI,

I am facing a problem while unlocking my HTC Touch Diamond. I have dwnlded the three files and as per instruction I have copied the 1st two files on the mobile and the last on my PC. But on installing it asks for RAPI.dll file ans thus do not generate any code. Also thrs is no setup files in the .CAB files also.

Please tell me what to do!!! I have a bet with my husband that I will do it. Please help me. :)

How can i load the program into the phone (htc pro 2 sprint) and will it unlock it for boost

HI,
I am having a real problem.
I am following the step.. tell me if i am doing something wrong.

1. Placed the cert and the rapi cab files into the phone.
2 Ran cert first then rapi.. they said they installed.
3. Place the dll file into the phone in the main windows folder. it asked if a wanted to replace it so i said yes.
4. Placed the elf unlocker into a folder in the c drive at c:\unlocker.
5. Ran the elf unlocker and it said it was an unregistered copy.. i ignored this as suggested by everyone on here.
6. Ran the elf unlocker... it brings up a command screen for a second and the gives me a txt note file.... which is blank... nothing in it.

I have a HTC UK orange touch 3G * well thats what it tells me ).... any andive as to why no codes are comming up??.. am i doing something wrong n the process??

HTC Touch 3g is the Viva IIRC, not the Elf/Elfin. May want to check that section - not able to get you a link right now :(

thanks very much i tried it but it seems something went wrong. the text generated is empty. it says cannot find RAPI cab file even i syc both files to the phone. now where can i located the files on the SD in the phone? all i see under gallery is photos and videos. no other file is displayed. n my SD does not appear in my computer!! it appears during installation and disappears after.

You sure you're posting in the right section? You have listed in the mytouch section before... this will only work on htc touch elf. If this is the phone you have, follow each step again

I bought my HTC touch Plus from online. Unfortunately it does not accept my sim card as it is sim locked. I tried these steps above but the .txt file contains nothing. I have tried various cures with no avail. The phone is originally from T-Mobile, and I am trying to use a vodafone sim.

My question is: do I need to leave a sim-card in the phone to carry out the unlocking or does it matter? I have tried so many combos now I am at a loss as for why it has not worked.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Translation: hi i downloaded the files to release my htc and last (touch unlock) to run it notifies me I need a permission q, which ones??, thanks

    A quick How-do-i-do-this-even-easier-then-it-is-explain guide:

    Download the file package which i included.
    The content is self explained.

    1. Establish activesync connection.
    2. Copy and Run the contents of the "Copy and Install these 2 CAB files on your Touch" folder on your Touch
    3. Copy the file inside the "Put the file thats inside this folder in your Windows Mobile folder" folder to your Windows folder on your Touch
    4. Copy the folder "Unlocker" to your pc. PREFERABLE your c:\ drive.
    5. Go to the location where you copied the "Unlocker" folder to. I.e "c:\unlocker" if that's where you placed it, if you put it on your desktop it ofcourse isn't in c:\unlocker.
    6. Run/Execute 'Elf_unlocker.exe'.
    7. You would get the unlock code in the notepad file....congrats !!
    8. Remove your simcard insert any other SIM and enter this unlock code...

    you just unlocked your Touch in 8 SIMPLE steps ;-)

    I'm sorry for my bad english, but I wish to thanks so much Rishi2504.

    All has worked fine for me : just 2 or 3 minutes to unlock my HTC Touch (locked before on french operator Orange -a prepaid pack-).

    to be more precise, when you have the 8 digits restart your device with a sim from an other operator, never the same as yours. Example : to unlock a Orange locked phone, insert a SFR's sim.

    After the boot screen i've had this request for the 4 digits pin's code of an other sim card (SFR network), I've entered it 2 or 3 time but the HTC seen to be indifferent to this and suddenly the unlock window has emerged. So I entered the 8 digits to unlock my device and click on "Unlock". After this the HTC asked a new time the pin code (4 digits) : I've entered it a other time and... VOILA ;). All work fine, i've handed my original sim card in my device and it's good.

    Again excuse me for my bad english for this explanations, I just try to help others members. Have a good day.

    The SFR sim card is an old of mine, so I've know is pin code. By default, a new sim card as this pin code : 0000 (4 zéro). Try this, or better, ask a friend who have a phone+sim from another network operator.

    Unlock kpn!

    Hej Guy's,
    a lot of people couldn't unlock their HTC-Touch with the KPN provider.
    The solution is easy and FREE, but only If the phone is more then 1 year old.

    Just go to www.kpn.com
    Search for "unlock"

    Then fill in the form, ( e-mail, name, phone nr, IMEI-code, etc )

    In a few days/hours ( depends on KPN itself ) You will receive a e-mail message with the code.

    Put an other SIM in the phone, fill in the code you received, and the phone should be unlocked!!

    It worked for my KPN HTC-touch!

    If you can't find the form on the site, see
