I recently got a defy, and it came with 2.1.So planned to upgrade with Motorola software updater, but it kept throwing internet connection error.
So downloaded RSD lite and JRDNEM_U3_3.4.3-33-1_CHINESE_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B50AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTINT15_P001_A013_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf from the firmware section, flashed it and it worked fine.
After few days motorola software updater showed "update available" downloaded it but Motorola software updater kept throwing errors duriing the flashing process.
Tried to flash the same file with rsd lite, but it too gave errors "checksum match error cg39"
The new firmware version is
JRDNEM_U3_3.4.3-36-1.7_CHINESE_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B50AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTINT15_P002_A014_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf
As I can see and understand I am not downgrading, but upgrading.So why the error ?
