I plan to update my phone to Android 10. I still haven't decided yet which custom ROM I'll use. Currently Resurrection Remix 6.2 (Oreo 8.1) is installed.
Now I'm not sure how I should to the upgrade:
Variant 1:
1) Boot TWRP
2) Factory Reset
3) Format Data
4) Advanced (Dalvik/System/Data/Internal Storage/Cache )
5) Install Android 10 ROM
Variant 2:
1) Boot TWRP
2) Factory Reset
3) Format Data
4) Advanced (Dalvik/System/Data/Internal Storage/Cache )
5) Using MiFlash Tool to flash latest Stock Rom. In this case it would be Pie.
6) Flash custom Rom Adnroid 10 with TWRP.
Actually I would think Variant 1 is sufficient. But then I think it's quite a gap from Android 8.1 to Q. So I don't know if it is preferable to do the additional step to install latest stock rom by MiFlash before flashing the actual ROM.
What would you advise?
