Heya,

Do you mean you:

1) Restore stock boot.img
2) Did OTA (not manual flash), then
3) Flash Magisk-modded boot.img for new ROM update back?

I assume #3 needs a PC, right? Since we can't flash custom boot.img in fastbootp, or can we?

(New crosshatch owner here, thanks for your info!)

I have never done an OTA for my PIxel phone.. I always flash boot.img and the factory image from my Windows PC.

Fair enough. I suppose I can put up with doing this once a month or so, since we don't need to wipe. Cheers!

Would be great if we could flash boot.img inside fastbootd though, then we wouldn't even need a PC at all and could do it all on-phone :)
