so I've been playing around with different FroYo builds since I got my phone a week ago (2.10.50.26 radio with Kumar 2.8 WinMo and Android 2.1). Only the first android that I installed works great, only problem is no ringtones, but I add an mp3 trim ringtone app and everything works fine after making a few ringtones, that isn't my question though. My question is concerning the other android builds that I put on my SD card after the first one, two other Froyo 2.1's and one 2.2. Every time I installed a new one I made sure to delete everything on my SD card (not format) and put a saved copy of all of my original SD card files excluding my Android folder. Then I made a new Android folder, extracted all of the files to my desktop, copied the files over to an Android folder on my SD card, and ran CLRCAD then Haret, all of the other builds haven't worked right or haven't installed, so I'm wondering if I got lucky on the first build working great and the other builds not working great on my phone, or if there are some residual files on the card or phone, hidden files or buried files in the WinMo ROM somewhere that are messing up the new builds that I try to install. I can reinstall the first one that I installed and it still works fine. I would really like to get Android 2.2 to work.
