I gave my sensation to my wife 6 months ago and got a note 2. The sensation is s off running a elegencia rom. Same rom for at least 6 months... yesterday my wife put the sensation in her bag and when she took it out it had a very tiny bit of moisture from a kids cup on the screen protector, but the phone would not turn on. I dont think its water damage bc there was no moisture anywhere else. I took apart the phone and there is no moisture. When I try to power the phone on, there is just a little bit of back light on the bottom left of the screen, but nothing else. It wont boot to recovery. I think its a hardware problem. ....
It is doing exactly what this person describes:

Any suggestions?

Anyone?
After switching batteries and trying over and over, it finally powered on enough to see it, but its just dark now....
if it is the screen or digitizer going bad, why would i be able to see it a little now? It is exactly like in the link that i posted...

any suggestions please?

I can now, as now i am able to power it on after switching batteries a few times. now it boots normally, but it is really dark and poor resolution...guessing its hardware? If so, what would accessing the boot loader help with? the screen looks really fuzzy and low quality and sometimes when i turn the screen off, it just stays black again......Guessing the LCD is going bad????

Your going to have to replace your LCD or buy another used sensation. :(

I had an Ericsson that got water damage, and it slowly got more functional. After about 3 days was completely back to normal. But that was in 2004 lol, ..don't know if phones are more resilient now, or less.

Good luck.

So, back on track...

I got the new LCD screen and digitizer and installed it...Nothing....its not working....so it must not have been the LCD...
Should i just trash the phone?
