[URGENT] [HELP] Unable to update Moto G 1st Gen to 5.1 // INDIA

Dear Friends,

I recently rooted my Moto G 1st Gen, Indian version and within 2 days itself I am able to receive update from 5.0.2 to 5.1.

When I download the update (208 MB) and install it , it reboots. I see the android boy logo of installing the update but suddenly it stops and reboots.

After reboot it tells that there was a problem in updating software and no change has been made.

What could be the problem? Pls help me friends.

bro you rooted the device it means you have changed system , try unrooting and reinstall the zip may be that works

So rooted phone do not get updates???

Rooting itself was a painful task to perform.

Also I see on this site, https://goo.gl/nfRVZ6 that still its 5.0.2

Then how come am gettign 5.1 update available?


How to unroot it? and i have unlocked bootloader also. Bootloader should be locked again??

What you do is flash 5.0.2 firmware images through fastboot then manually install 5.1(file you can get from other threads)

Just unrooting might not help. You'll then have to install stock 5.0.2 again if unrooting doesn't work...
