OK, I'm quite confused about the compatibility between US-bought DVPs and European-bought ones. The specs listed seem to contradict, depending on where you look.
So, we know this is quad-band GSM, so this means the phone should work for basic phonecalls worldwide, regardless of which on you buy.
What about the 3G frequencies, though? Has anyone actually tried a US device in Europe (or vice versa) and go true 3G/HSDPA speeds (rather than just EDGE)?
I'm in the US just now and want to see if there's any point buying one cheap here and have it work back in the UK, but I don't to spend a few hundred dollars on being a guinea pig! I'd prefer if someone had some real experience of it rather than just "well it says it supports this frequency, so it should work" type answers!
