USA G4 release date!

I've heard that many screens on EBay are knockoffs and people end up with phones that are pitch black (no display). That's why I'm hesitant.

Anyway, sorry for the OT. Let's get back on track. I WANT MY G4!

I have done it more than once, no issues. I dont care if it is fake or not as long as it works. I suspect if it is $5, it is not an official Samsung. But who cares, Samsung certainly charges 5x too much anyway. It does not have to be "official" to work fine. Plus, I read sellers feedback first.

Seems to me that it is so negative to wait so long after a launch event to actually release the phone. I wish they'd have the event and make it available within a couple days. Otherwise you lose the buzz of the event.

Agreed. Just today new Z4 rumors hit & so did S6 Active rumors. Every day they lag is a day more rumors hit & can make some people opt to wait and see and maybe pass on the G4. +30 days from announced to USA release is a bad bad idea.

According to the official T-Mobile @G4Preview Twitter account, the LG G4 will be in select T-Mobile stores starting on June 2nd. This is the first actual hard release date seen, and that post on Twitter was quickly edited (and deleted).

Yeah but notice this... NO leather seen as an option for Verizon. Verizon at Best Buy only shows

All are the plastic backs. The price I expected as it is in line with other leaks. Not seeing leather as an option for Verizon, that shocks me as it does show for ATT and Sprint.

Sprint at Best Buy has the same price for the leather back as the plastic options, so I went with that assuming that I could buy a plastic back much cheaper than if I decided later I wanted leather.

BB has $100 BB gift card, then LG has a deal in the US where if you buy by 6/21 anywhere, they'll send you a free battery, battery charger, and 32GB microSD card. So overall, not a bad deal.

Well I ordered mine a few days ago from Sprint. They told me over the phone I would have it by June 2nd. Lo and behold it appears that it's on the UPS truck to be delivered today Thursday 5/28. Looks like I have a 4 hour window and 2 of those hours are already passed. Should have it in hand in about 2 more hours. Super stoked at this point in time. By the way it will have the black leather back.
