You get $700 if you activate, $600 if not activated (like us being on TMo for example they don't do TMo there) then they put the $600 on a BB gift card and I used that to buy the Note10+. I initially went to a different BB and they had a Black and I was going to settle but they told me there's a Aura Glow at a different BB like 20 miles away so I did the trade in and paperwork there and went and picked up the Glow at the other store.
Weird... Online when I chose Unlocked and "activate later", it showed no discount.
Yes I would say that probably means it's going to ship soon. Mine still said in process and I was able to successfully cancel it.
Yes I called a few stores today and asked that exact question and they said it's a down payment on the new Note. The fine print reads (to me) just what happened, trade in and it's goes towards the new phone?
That would be so frustrating if that was true. I would not want $600 in BB credits and have to pay full price on the phone!

The fine print was written weird though. I remember reading it and it said if you activated a carrier model, you could use the trade in towards the N10+. But if you did NOT activate it in store, then you would just receive the $600 in a gift card and it could not be applied toward the N10+. Maybe it was so confusing, Best Buy doesn't know how to apply it.
LOL. That's awesome. I used the trade in program to my advantage too. Sold my 512GB Note 9 for $600. Used that money to buy a 128GB Note 9 for $400. So that was $200 in my pocket. Then traded in that Note 9 for $600 toward the N10+. So that actually knocked $800 off the cost of my N10+.
Why thank you. Hopefully, Samsung continues with these crazy trade in deals on each new device. I mean, we both know the price of new devices will just continue to climb. I gotta hustle everywhere I can to be able to afford them. LOL.
