For the audiophiles among you, I confirm that the Tab S 8.4 is USB audio capable. My HRT microstreamer USB DAC works perfectly.

Andriod is getting really good support with usb OTG

also my PS3 controller works via usb otg

USB hubs work as well; now I just need a way to charge the tablet while using usb otg

If I only could get my eyes on a service manual I will find a way to charge while OTG is enabled.

There are many Y cables on eBay that allow charging and otg use at the same time. I find it's a bit hit and miss, as some don't work while others do

We might find some info on this in the kernel source as well.
The table for USB Id should say the resistor value needed for the combination that gives charging and USB OTG at the same time.
I'll see if I can find out which module in the kernel that does USB ID sensing.
