On a whim, I decided to purchase this one from Amazon.com
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SBJQBKX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What I liked about it was:
-$6? Sure, I'll try it out.
-Charging and audio? I'll definitely need these options in the future.

It took approximately 10 days from China to reach me here in the US, but it works great. The USB-C connector is nice and tight, with a solid click once seated in place. My OnePlus 7 Pro is on OS version 9.5.8 and I've had no issues with OTG settings.

To avoid stressing the USB-C connector, what I've done is:
1. audio only: insert headphones into adapter first, then attach to phone
2. charge+audio: insert power into adapter first before headphone jack. Then insert adapter into phone.

So far, I like the item. Works fine, allows me to charge, and was cheap enough that I can buy several to throw into different bags, suitcases etc.
I've attached a pic to show relative size also :good:
Hope this info helps!

Just confirming that the official Google adapter works perfectly on the 7 Pro. I also saw a post either on this forum or the OnePlus forum about the equalizer not being available when using a wired headset. I'm confirming that the equalizer shows up as well, via screenshots below.

I also like how the equalizer remembers the settings between my wired earbuds (ROCK Zircon) and wireless earbuds (Bullets Wireless V2).

Screenshot and link to the exact Google adapter, bought through Amazon and not a 3rd party seller on there, which some claimed to have gotten counterfeit adapters:

Thanks for the review! Purchased 2?

Could you measure the charging current with Ampere or a similar app? Some of these adaptors have a very low current pass through

Here you go... I found what I think is Ampere (there's alot of apps with the same name), and grabbed some screenshots.
01 discharge only - no adapter or charger connected
02 charger only - adapter + charging cable attached
03 charger+headphones - adapter + charger + headphones (audiobook playing)

I'd be interested in understanding more of what Ampere is reporting here! :good:

Thanks. Ampere reports the net (I think?) charging and discharging current going in and out of of the USB port. Its the amount of charge flowing per time. You can think of it as a measure of how quickly your phone will charge

I emailed iBasso with regards to their new DC02, they have responded and said it will be on their website mentioned above in 2 - 3 weeks time.

Nice, thanks for the info. Those on Head-Fi that have it already said it's better than the Hidizs Sonata. Apparently it even sounds better than some DAPs like Fiio M5 and M11.

Good to see some HiFi Dacs finally coming out but when will we see some HiFi dacs that also allow fast charging?!

Or is there some USB-C splitter that is compatible with the OnePlus 7 Pro that would allow for fast charging while using a HiFi DAC?

So, I bought an adapter before in Post #62
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79918528&postcount=62

And... I promptly lost it. I liked it since it was small and simple, but this time I decided to get a different one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MGSVJ8Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Had it for a day and half now, and it's working fine. Works well with no distortion with my headset, a couple pairs of headphones.
Since someone asked for it before, here are some current load readings whilst in use.
-adapter only, no playback
-adapter in use with audiobook
-adapter in use with audiobook and power.

Hope it helps!
-mm
