Original post :

I know that the box will have one, but i need more to have around home and office. The official Google store have them for 9$ BUT THEY SHIP ALMOST by END OF NOV. now i was wondering if anyone knows of some third party extensions that are available on Amazon or so.. And if anyone knows what specs are we looking for in such converts so we search for the right ones..
Feedback after using it, the mic fails most of the timea (30th November)
:crying: :crying: :crying: Guys it's really frustrating when AMAZON can't ship to Morocco, FEW of them do but really expensive shipping... is there any other product from ALIBABA or GEARBEST ? that would help a lot, thanks.

What do you think about this adapter from aliexpress? It states that it has Realteak audio adapter. Sounds promising. Should I try it?

As I can't post links search on aliexpress: "Upgrade Type-C to 3.5mm Earphone Cable Adapter USB Type C Male to AUX Audio Female Jack For Google Pixel 2 XL HTC U11 Moto Etc."
It's ALLVCOVER brand.

EDIT: I have bought this one. Let's see how its works.

Has someone introduced a USB C to 2.5mm balanced connection yet?
YES!, Sabaj Da3 has balanced 2.5mm and unbalanced 3.5mm and sounds quite spectacular. Unfortunately its quite large.
The sound in more on the Cold side but the detail is unreal and tight bass. Pairs perfectly with my JVC HA-FX850.

Although I'm Not sure how I feel about them with my Sennheiser hd650. Haven't used them it much with them. Those pair nicer with a warmer amp.

The Sabaj DA3 looks like a full Amp/DAC, not a USB C to 3.5mm/2.5mm dongle.

Well, all of these listed in this thread are full dac/amps some are just smaller than others?. All you do is plug it into your pixel and it just works out of the box for the sabaj. It looks like as close as your going to get for a balanced 2.5mm dongle. Balanced plugs require extra grounding so it's unlikely to come in a small package like the stock dongle.

FIIO E17K does NOT work. I don't see any reports of Fiio products working on the pixel 2. I don't understand how it worked perfectly on my iPad and iPhone 6 but not on the pixel 2.
Not sure what your setup is but Fiio Alpen 2 E17K works beautifully for me:

I used a micro-USB to micro-USB cable and Spigen's USB-C to micro-USB adapter, but only because I already have those items. I'm pretty sure a USB-C to micro-USB cable would work just as well.

Possibly helpful tips:
- The Pixel should always be connected last. Turn on the E17K DAC/Amp, then set to USB source mode, then connect the cable, then connect the adapter, and finally plug it into the Pixel.
-Make sure USB CHG is set to OFF on the E17K
