For the OnePlus 5 you have one option and that is any displaylink adapter.

A simple hdmi device will not work, period.

It's very simple to see if this is going to work..

Search on page for the word Displaylink, then see if the word you found says compatible .

It HAS to have Displaylink technology.

Or, it will NOT work
