I got my nook HD+ two days back. Does this work with USB 3g dongles?

It should, but I don't have any to try, so if you have one, please try it and let us all know.
Can't you just short pins 4 & 5 in a usb Female to Female adapter? Or does that not work?
there's no pin 5 in standard usb plug connector, so nothing to short.
Tried Huawei 3g dongle with pppwidget but it does not work. I am not sure what I am missing. Any one who succeeded accessing internet with 3g dongles on NOOK HD+?
Used forced USB Host with verygreen's CM 10.2 8/30 SD card release on my HD+ and a USB F-F adapter. Works great with pen drives. Cannot get my SD card readers to work though (they work with my 2012 Nexus 7 and stickmount).
Is there a trick ? Special mount point ?
Reason I was interested in this was to read full-size SD cards from a digital camera while on the road. I guess the alternative is to use an SD-to-microSD adapter (Seiko Systems makes one).

Your sdcard reader incorrectly claims it needs full 500mA current available.
Try getting a different one. I found that ones that have usbhub in them work well for me.
Another approach is to use a non-powered usb hub and just hide the adapter behind such a hub.
Awesome. Just noticed it also seems to work when I connect the camera's USB cable to the HD+.
Would be interested in this as well. How do get some debug infos while plugin the modem?
I also would like to use my USB GPS Mouse (which probably opens a serial port). Any way to operate with that? Couldn't found a setting to use external GPS in CM10.2

Just click on the "fix power...." button, that will enable something on the system which help bypass the power requirements on the usb bus.
I wrote it for my TP, but it also works on my Nook HD.

I now click on TPUSBUMount_v1.apk and USBHostSwitcher.apk
both have unmount /disconnect buttons
Which one do I press first?
Now I see the first flash drive on my unpowerred hub on /storage/usb0
Where is the second flash drive? ( I can not find the mount point)
What file manager works best with USB OTG Flash drives?

Ive test out 5 thumb drives, three work, two do not.
The two the do not work with the Nook (CORSAIR Flash Voyager CMFUSB2.0-16GB and Transcend JetFlash 500 TS32GJF500 ) do work a Panasonic RX-D55 "bomb box", Sony ... car stereo and PC's and Laptop.
When i plug them in the light will blink one time on the CORSAIR and then nothing, the other does not do anything period.
Is there something i can do ?
Is it common for some to work and some not to work ?
I was gonna make a compatibility WIki article here at the site if it is common for some thumb drives to work and others not to, just so people know what to get.

I had a similar problem with an SD card reader. I'd try dubidu's app and see if that helps first. Read verygreen's explanations upthread also.
