Did you try pushing the bmc4329.ko file to /system/lib/modules?
Yes, that file has been there all along. I've confirmed with roebeet that the problem lies in the boot.img file (xoom_ocboot.img) that is used in the OC procedure. I don't know the exact details, but what has to happen is the dev that put together that .img will need to incorporate roebeet's changes into his, so that both USB host AND OC will work together, without affecting wifi. We've contacted that dev and hopefully we'll have it worked out shortly.

This is awesome! I'm totally going to rock this when I get my Xoom mid April!
I do have one question though. Does anyone know of a microUSB to SD card reader? I'd love to be able to throw the photos from my camera onto my Xoom when I travel. I'm sure something like this has to exist, but Google is not finding it...
Any help?
Oh, and thank you roebeet, devs like you make my devices so much better :)

Bigrush's 1.1.5 is a BEAST and it includes this mod plus allows that sexy OC to 1504

Looks like im gonna have to wait. Need my OC more than the usb host functionality. When we get those two working together man that would be killer.

EXACTLY! Thanks man. Why I couldn't find that is beyond me.
Now I just have to get the tablet and see if it works... right when I get my next paycheck. I hate having to be patient :)

So you can confirm this works? Basically at this point I would just have to go through the Tiamat procedure (install their boot.img and kernel) and then make roebeets mod and the oc and usb host will work? And no issue with losing wifi?

Other USB Devices (like audio-input, usb mouse, etc.)?

Does this make it POTENTIALLY possible for other devices to be attached? like USB-based audio input? Griffin makes one of those for example. Would be great to get line-in for recording through USB.

Actually there is some confusion about the USB Host hack - that's only for storage support (like thumb drives and probably self powered external storage as well). A USB keyboard worked for me even without the hack.

But a USB mouse did not. As for other peripherals, they will probably be recognized, but without drivers or apps to utilize them they probably won't actually do anything. I actually have a few devices I tried for the heck of it (including a USB sound device) but none of them worked.

Has anyone gotten this hack to work with a USB card reader? Because my main reason for doing this hack was to be able to pull photos off of camera memory cards while out in the field for reviewing and back up purposes, but so far I am only able to attach a thumb drive, which obviously does me no good :(

I think I read somewhere that the person who also did the hack tried to get his memory card reader which worked for him.

The Nokia CA-157 cable doesn't look like the same micro usb as the XOOM. Does it fit?

Can we compile a list of compatible cables? So far it seems like the only working cable is the one from China on eBay, and he appears to be sold out.

how hard would it have been to put a full sized USB. Seriously.
It would make the tablet thicker. micro USB is fine since most of us already have tons of those cables.
look at the thickness of Notion Ink Adam becuase of 2 USB adapters
Adam's specs are Thickness: ~14 mm (0.551"), Width: 191 mm (7.52"), Length: 269 mm (10.59")

So it could have been done, isn't Xoom 12.9mm, roughly 0.5"?
