USB OTG Adaptor

Found my old USB OTG adaptor that I used with my SE Xperia Arc S and thought why not give it a go.

This is when I discovered the usb port on the Arc S (which i assumed was angular), and the OTG cable are square micro USB, not narrower at one side like all of the other cables i've seen - and the ports on numerous other devices (RAZR i included).

Specs say both are called micro USB, but one is entirely incompatible with the other as there is no way in hell it will plug in to the RAZR i...

There's 2 kind of MicroUSB connectors: Micro-A and Micro-B

The most commun is the B shape, it's the one you find an almost all smartphone MicroUSB compliant.

Strange that the Arc S use a MicroA shape...

Cheers for that, yeah its odd the Arc seems to have the A shape as pictured, will shift the cable with the phone.
