Does anyone know how to mount a usb storage device in lollipop and where the directory would be?

When I connect my usb otg device, the light flashes on the device so I know it acknowledges it but then it doesn't seem to mount. When I go to settings/storage the option to mount is at the bottom but when I tap it, it does nothing. Please help, this is really pissing me off. :(

Believe it or not, Im pretty sure Android M will be the first release with native support for external storage (playing off memory here, so pinch of salt and all that). Until then, workarounds are unfortunately required. I agree with you though, you'd think it'd be plug-and-play.

I don't know if your rom supports USB otg, just try with another USB flash drive...it worked for me. You can find the USB directory in /mnt/usbdisk or /storage/usbdisk or /usbdisk
