I have the Verizon variant and I think it's only possible via a VOIP application such as GrooveIP, Google Voice, or something else. For example, I have my Xfinity App installed and I can make calls that way, but I don't think it's possible making regular cell calls with the P905V.

The answer is yes. I use my Note 12.2 with LTE to make calls, send texts, surf the web, etc. I'm using lg tone bluetooth stereo headset. Works like a champ.

how are you using your note 12 to make calls¿

I have same unit and was told I could make phone calls but there is no phone icon anywhere. super frustrated as I have to head out of town tomorrow and it is now 4 a.m. And I have been trying to fix this since nine thirty p.m.

I have the international unlocked (SM-P905) Note Pro. Verizon gimps the 905V Note Pro by not including the stock Samsung dialer.

They are not phones. Only the international version has a phone built in but only with TMobile or ATT sim card with correct APN setting. I have the 905 with ATT sim with unlimited grandfathered data plan. Works great as a gigantic phone.

This is why we invented manuals.

Clearly it's not meant to be used as a handheld phone. You either use it on speaker mode or with a headset.

Hi, what is the correct APN setting for AT&T? I put my phone SIM into my NotePro 12.2. It sees my phone number, and it even has data bars but would not work for phone NOR data. I really only want the data portion.

I think you can call ATT to ask them the right APN.

I just picked up a notepro from ATT and I'm using it as a phone while my iphone is in for repair. I'm using Hangouts dialer through a bt connection. It works like a charm.

use hangouts dialer, 100% works without issue. Also google voice worked wonderfully to text while I was on airplane, since you are on wifi, highly recommend that. I was able to coordinate my trasnportation prior to landing, Hangouts, I'll be honest, I have only really used for phone calls on the tablet when my cell is either charging or off or in another room but it completely works and it doesnt matter what carrier you have since it is using wifi signal.

HELLO i have a big probleme with my tab and i really want someone to help me
i received a galaxy note pro 12.2 SM-P902 and i can not executed USSD CODE to check my balance it doesnt work
i tried to root it with cf-root for sm-901 and cf-root for sm-p905 to install sm-P901 FIRMWARE or another ROM but NO result root couldnt worked
please someone can help me??

I tried towel root but it says that my device isn't supported yet ...
I also tried to install forware of sm-P901 but it wrong signature when checking the system authentication. .
I tried to to root it with the tools that we use to root P901 and p902 but nothing ...
Please help me brothers just need to root it then I'll install personal firmware....or find me a way to executed USSD code even if I must pay u for your job..Please

I'm in cameroon ..I bought it for 540€ in my country.
I don't know how but it already rooted now.
But I can't install the firmware inside. . I'm trying to install firmware of sm-P901 hoping that it will allow me to execute USSD code cause it's my main problem,
And if someone know a way to do it please help me. .thanks.

Tried using Google Voice, keep getting network error. I went with Hangout Dialer it worked great. I wish I could install the stock dialer. But my programing skills ane not there yet!

So for us in the states, on AT&T we should ONLY buy SM-P905 if we want phone calls to work on the tablet here in the USA on AT&T?
