Im Using a RN8T with the latest xiaomi.eu stable version(debloated and optimized version of MIUI), anything posted here should work in RN8/T with global version too.

Gcam: i suggest 2 versions of gcam. This is a very good and stable version with almost all features https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1075/.
The version that im currently using is: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1072/ Because you can enable and use AUX cameras by flashing a simple fix
with Magisk (Requires Root) https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/p/aux-cameras-enabler-module/

Magisk Module to increase video quality: this effects all camera apps you can download it from here: MOD EDIT: Telegram link removed, please read the STICKY! . After the download just flash it with magisk.

I've tried the mod on crdroid 6.5 and syberia roms and every time I try to open wide camera the app crashes... Any suggestions?

Can confirm wide angle works, although I don't see 48mp mode.

There is no Gcam app for this phone to support this mode yet.

Finally got wide camera working rolling back to miui 11 eu rom, aux cam patch and latest gcam from the_dise

wide angle works perfectly on Pie roms (all aosp based pie roms). In Q roms wide is almost fixed and macro works perfeclty on new Trcam v5

It doesnt work for me, what camera sensor do you have and what settings do you use?
