Has anyone else tried using onlive yet? It works but there is a funky resolution change that keeps happening.
I tried it and aside from not recognizing my usb Gamepad onlive seemed to work fine. Definitely not worth it without a gamepad though.Has anyone else tried using onlive yet? It works but there is a funky resolution change that keeps happening.
"No room left on device" makes me think you need to expand the boot partition to 200 MB , and try again. I'm using Easeus Partition manager for that job, but there are other ways I'm sure. Right after you burn the image file onto the SD card, run the partition manager and THEN copy over the update...zip file and gapps.zip files. Should work for you.ok...
- Format an 8gb Sandisk card
- dd either verygreen's or samiam's generic-sdcard-v1.3-ICS.img.zip to it
- Place a nightly (20,21) update...zip on boot partition.
- Insert card in NC
- Boot Nc.
- Appears to install, but get several "mv... no space left on device" errors.
- NC shuts off.
NC won't boot from the SD card.
I've looked all over. I'd sure appreciate a hand w/ this.
(I've successfully created a card which works for cm7)
Thanks
Thanks vmuch. But - there seems to be more that two people trying these builds. How come I'm the only one with no space left...? This is very simple. Brand new card set up, and the thing won't work in the basic configuration everyone says they are trying."No room left on device" makes me think you need to expand the boot partition to 200 MB , and try again. Early builds of the CM7 sd card setup worked just fine, but then the later CM7 updates got a little too large and there was not sufficient room on the standard partition to fully expand GAPPS, so it became either a 2 step installation ( Gapps after loading CM7) OR expanding the boot partition slightly to accomodate the larger files. This may not be the problem you're having, but then again, it might be the problem you're having. Thanks vmuch. But - there seems to be more that two people trying these builds. I guess I'll try re-formatting at some point. Again, thnx for response.
Thnx. I only tried loading the update..zip, not gaps at same time. Perhaps try that. Sigh. I don't mean this in a harsh way, but that did get covered here and there in a couple threads when fattire released his sneakpeak2 build, which was the first build to be that large.Ok, increased size of boot partition & was able to install and cm9/ics and samiam's gaps. Prev. gaps downloading automagically now. Nice interface, looking forward to futzing with it.
Still find it strange that no one seems to say "Oh, you have to use a format program to increase verygreen's boot partition size before cm9/ics will install correctly."
Thnx to prev. responders
I appreciate the comment. I spent a lot of time working on this, searching, looking at many posts. Missed the one or three you mention. Thanks.I don't mean this in a harsh way, but that did get covered here and there in a couple threads when fattire released his sneakpeak2 build, which was the first build to be that large.
Sorry for your frustration with that. I think I've already seen one tweaked CM9 version of that installer but I don't know if it included partition size changes. It's still early in the game though, and I'm sure you'll see a lot more knowledge collected into guides and updated tools eventually
Anyone else noticing better touchscreen response?
Seems to be better around the edges somehow. Is this all in my head!?
I loaded last nites nightly and I'm still having problems when I touch. It is at its worst when using the browser (any browser...I tried a few different ones).
But even on my home screen, sometimes it takes two or three touches before it responds.
I'd be using CM9 as a daily but for this problem. It is really irritating.
But keep up the good work guys....I'm sure it will be resolved someday.
The difference that I noticed was after using CPU Master to take my max speed to 1200 Mhz instead of 800 Mhz. THEN everything seemed to pick up. I think there are still some laggy times, but this .122 build is quite useable.Anyone else noticing better touchscreen response?

If you go to settings and developer options, there is an option to show touches. This causes a little round thing to show up when you touch the screen. It shows you on the screen where you are really touching. This is good for diagnostics. I found that sometimes I am not touching where I think I am touching. Another thing I found was that for most selections you need to touch lower on the screen than you think would be necessary. This may be a bug in CM9. Now I select lower on purpose and selections work more often. But even on my home screen, sometimes it takes two or three touches before it responds.
