Anyone else having problems with Eyeballer's 2/27 OpenGL build? If I wipe the dalvik cache and let it rebuild, everything is fine on the first boot, but on subsequent boots no applications will run--the window will pop up and then immediately close.

Look back a few posts. A user said my 240-softkey patch broke on that build. Maybe something is broken on that build.

I think the CWM recovery only works with SD card zips. I don't think it knows how to read emmc.

Is there a reason you want to do this?
It's not a big deal of course, just that flashing is the only thing I use the microSD card for. If there were a way to do without it completely I think that would be preferable.

Actually with the CWM-based Recovery 5.5.0.4 there is an option to install zip from internal sdcard (which would be your media partition)

From CWM Recovery choose to:

Install zip from sdcard --> choose zip from internal sdcard

-Racks

That's amazing to me that you can get by without an SD card. I have my emmc full and my SD almost full. LOL. But seriously, another use of your SD should be using it to do nandroid backups of your device using CWM recovery. And that also can only be done to SD. It's really a good idea to backup occasionally.

Racks, does that version also allow you to put your nandroid backup on emmc? That would be nice for those that have one install on emmc and another on SD. The old CWM would try to put it on the boot partition of the SD.

Did I miss something?
I am running current nightly cm9 and trying to run netflix. The app attemps to load a movie and stops.
What do you think you missed? To my knowledge netflix has never run on CM9. It runs on CM7, but not 9.

That's a matter of opinion. You can make your own (ala fattire's guide), use Samiam303's (with or without community tweaks, from tnpapadakos, or supercharger script, from mateorod and I), Eyeballer's(again with or without V6) ,and Eyeballer's OpenGL builds( and once again with or without V6).

I personally use Sam's with the V6 supercharger, but I've heard a lot of good things about Eyeballer's builds.

Recovery question

Where does one get this recovery?

Thanks.

As some people here already mentioned - with newer CWM versions it does work.

There is one reason - if you swapped your emmc and sdcard (with the cyanogenmod option) you can't use ROM Manager anymore to make an update because after rebooting to recovery cwm can't locate the file.
A workaround would be to place the flashable zip in both emmc and sdcard.
