... One issue that I am monitoring (occurred with Eyeballer build 3/4 build) has to do with charging and usb operation. After the NC was fully charged, it indicated that it was running off battery and was discharging even though the charger was plugged in. Also during this time, plugging the usb into the computer had no effect (no indication of usb connection on the NC or the PC and I was beginning to think I had a bad usb/charging cable). Everything else seemed to be operating normal. A reboot cleared all of the above conditions.
I have not been able to re-create this situation with eyeballer build 3/5. It may have only been an issue with build 3/4 (and possibly previous).

Anyway... I am happy with build 3/5! Thanks to eyeballer for the builds! Thanks to all the devs for the improved state of CM9 encore!

BTW: I am sure this subject should have been posted in the development forum under "[DEV] CM9/ICS Work-In-Progress" or "[ROM][NC] Unofficial CM9 Nightly builds - with/without OpenGL", but at the time of the original post, those options were not available to me.

Hi,

I'm about to buy one nook color and I have a doubt, is it possible to watch movies or videos using soft-decoding at ICS? Or it lags a lot? I have an X10 and I use moboplayer with 1ghz it runs fine 720p videos softdecoding.

Bye!
When I played with ICS I was able to watch videos with little to no lag ( Techzilla podcasts, and various DVD rips) in moboplayer.

I have since gone back to CM7 Mirage as Netflix and the pc<->android wifi folder sync ap did not work.

is there a custom bootanimation in the works/being planned exclusively for cm9? You know, just like that cool boot animation for cm7 where there's an android on a skateboard. :) Kinda curious how it looks like. Oh, and I'm definitely not asking for an ETA or anything. I'm just curious about how it will look like, ya know. :D You guys rock! Thanks for everything!

Tapatalkin' it from my rooted NookColor running CM7 MiRaGe [KANG] [7.2 RC] overclocked @ 1.2 GHz

Note: I'm trying several of them to see what does the correct full display in portrait mode. So far the smaller sizes look good in landscape, although the logo might be cut off.

Actually with the CWM-based Recovery 5.5.0.4 there is an option to install zip from internal sdcard (which would be your media partition)

From CWM Recovery choose to:

Install zip from sdcard --> choose zip from internal sdcard

I have been trying to use the CWM 5.5.0.4 taken from Sam's server in recoveries. It keeps giving me recovery.fstab errors for cache saying NULL is not a proper option and then only backs up /boot. Is there a working version somewhere? Fattires original post used Megaupload and is dead.

Problems with angry birds with newest build

Just installed Eyeballers 3/9 build with opengl on sdcard and it seems very responsive but I noticed a problem with both Angry Birds Seasons and Rio. Once you open these games it seems as if it wont register a single touch you have two touch with two fingers to get it to register a touch. It seems very similar to the ongoing problem with Jelly Defense that previous builds have. Anyone else have similar problems with newest build?

Update: Nevermind. It seems angry birds is registering touches correctly again. Maybe I had to reboot it or something. Jelly Defense still doesn't work but that was the case with all the previous builds as well.

I've had similar problems with past builds where a game that worked previously becomes unresponsive to touches. Rebooting always fixed the problem. I run the open-gl builds, in phone mode using Leapinlar's 240-patch.

For those of you that have been following the build.prop edit sagas that some users, including myself, have posted it would be good to check out this very informative post.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23452283&postcount=80

Turns out that many of the tricks we'd tried in Gingerbread won't produce an error in ICS, but are not longer present.

As for adjusting memory settings, that is still worth while. But you can use the post above to help determine what edit's are not required any longer.

I'm pretty sure that team win's app Goo manager hosts the CWM builds on techerrata. You can download the app on eyeballer's OP. That's where I get my nightlies, for the most part, although I don't have the brass to try experimental recovery.

I mess with my nook too much. CWM is my lifeline for when it all goes splat.

Edit: there sure are a lot of proper nouns in that first sentence. Download Goo Manager. That's better...and I just checked. CWM Touch builds are there, but kinda hard to find by browsing. Search "clockwork".

Its a cool app anyway. People are always looking for someone to build for them, its a great idea to get a wide variety of project builds all together in one place

Quick question: Has anyone running CM9 been able to run Go Launcher HD? It seems that the app won't run because it thinks it's running on a phone. I guessed it had something to do with the resolution, so I changed the DPI - but that didn't fix the issue.

Anyone?

Here's a flashable zip for CWM 5.5.0.4 to EMMC. Built this morning for you. :D

This should correct the NULL mount point errors. I haven't tested it myself since I run off SD, but it should flash and work properly.

**Disclaimer: Do so at your own risk, I am not responsible for ... blah, blah, blah.... you all should know the rest. :p "

Rooted

Just rooted my wife's NC with Eyeballer's 0312 ROM. Tried Samian's, but no flash support there. Have to say I love this new ROM. Everything works with the exception of Netflix, no big deal right now though. Thanks to everyone involved with this.

BTW, tried to use dual boot, but didn't work. I'm guessing B&N 1.4.2 had something to do with it. Have to boot from SD.

EDIT: ah, looks like it can't recognize ad-hoc networks yet...

Hello all, I was just wanting to ask a quick question. I haven't been following along the cm9 discussion as closely as I once was, which nightly should I update to and how? I currently have samiam's 3/4 build on SD, no other mods.

Thanks guys!

Just use Sam's latest nightly but if you do also install the latest gapps from goo-insideme.com. Just put the nightly zip and gapp zip in the boot partition and boot to recovery.
