I checked out the android wifi tether google code page and they seem to have an experimental version for the Nexus One. I installed it and have no issues with the installation, but you need to patch the kernel to enable netfilter (obviously).
The problem I am having is we all have "user" builds of the kernel so we can't patch it. We need a userdebug or eng build. Is there any way to change yet? There is a tutorial on how to patch the kernel on their wiki but it wont work unless you have a userdebug or eng build.
