My father just purchased a S4 through Verizon. He is moving to the Philippines in a year with my mom and wants to keep that phone for when he moves out there. I seen that it has a sim for LTE. Is that sim slot just for Verizon LTE? Or will a sim for T-Mobile work it (example)?
Does he need to get it unlocked to use with a carrier there?
Are there any carriers there that will work with that device that have LTE or hspa? (Does it have to be unlocked?)
I'm just confused because I thought Verizon was CDMA but this phone is gsm???
