Google has released the ChatGPT competitor Bard in March 2023. Google's AI is supposed to function similarly to the hyped chatbot. Unlike ChatGPT, however, Bard can obtain information directly from the Internet and thus provide up-to-date answers. However, Bard is still in the test phase and is not yet available in EU countries.
However, you can bypass the region lockout by using a VPN connection. VPN means "Virtual Private Network". With this private network you disguise your IP address, your online activities and also your location. Therefore, with a VPN connection, it is possible to use an IP address from another country. This way, it is suggested to a website that you are not in EU at all, but in a country where Google Bard is already available. NordVPN or CyberGhost, among others, are the most well-known VPN providers. In most cases, these providers also offer free trial versions for a few days. However, there are also free alternatives, such as Hide.Me or ProtonVPN.
