Using microG with Stock S8 rom

Hi,

I'm using the international Exynos S8 with stock ROM, not rooted yet.
Can I use microG with the stock ROM, assuming I root my phone?

Or can I only use it with a custom ROM?

I want to get rid of Google without losing camera optimizations and Samsung software

Did you were able to install microG and remove GAPps maintaining the original Samsung software?
