Please, Is it possible to go back to 20l from 30c or 30b?I tried with uppercut +lg up but it failed. if someone know another mean how to please share. And another thing is that why it is so hard to get in download mode with this v10?it's very rare that I can get in to download mode with the "FIRMWARE UPDATE", or even if the phone is in download mode without "FIRMWARE UPDATE ", lgup or lg bridge can't see it....

Why LG doesn't want to solve our problem with this phone and why when someone finds a way to solve it LG blocked that way?(fastboot blocked by LG), I really hate them, really really frustrating problem :mad::mad:

Hi @stojshic, hi guys, please is there someone who knows how to extract .kdz file then replace the file boot.img inside it then repack it again to have a new .kdz file to be flashed using Lgup? It would be very helpful if you can help me. I would like to try it because as you know LG blocked fastboot command on nougat so i can't flash boot.img file from fastboot. Or my phone got bootloop and there is no way but blocking the 2 big cores. Thank you

I tried lgfirmwareextract but didn't work. It doesn't extract it from 30c's .kdz file. It does nothing, nothing happened when I clicked on extract kdz. Ah really! LG, LG, LG! Why you don't listen to your customers?LG, you really disappointed us.

Unfortunately that's not possible. LG uses signed files in KDZ, you can't change files in it, as LGUP will error...

make sure you select the file end with .dz then press extract kdz then you need to extract the .dz file and you will get the files + about lg you're right , never buy lg phone even if they good when being alive

I tried it and it works very well. It resurrected my phone. No bootloop since last night. What I did was :
1st-put electric tape on the cpu and gpu(4 or 5 layers of tape). I tried to put tape and make it to fit the surface of the cpu and gpu.
2nd-I put the pile on the back
3rd-reboot the phone and voilà it's working well till now.
I hope that it can continue like that.

this:

works better.

That solution with tape will cause the cpu and gpu to get higher temps since they are not in contact with metal to spread heat, so, this is way better. i did it with my phone even it doesnt have the bootloop problem but to avoid get him.

it works flawless, low temps ~22º degrees (not ºF) and in higher use they only reach max of 33/34º.

The problem is that I don't know how to find those thermal pads that he used in this video. Here in our country it is impossible to find them.

i forgot to mention that i didnt use the thermal pads, i use thermal paste instead, just put more thermal paste to make sure they make contact between cpu and metal frame and works the same...

mine never bootlooped, and with this hope it didnt will.

I already tried that but it didn't resurrected my phone, but the tape one did. Maybe the thermal paste i used was bad quality, I'll try to find a good thermal paste and try your method because I feel that with tape it resurrected my phone but my phone is often so hot and sometimes reboots itself. Anyway till now my phone works well but I'm afraid bootloop will come back again. By the way you said that yours never bootlooped, did you block the 2 big cores that cause the bootloop? Are you on android 7 or 6 or 5? Mine is on nougat and it's impossible to root it and I tried to downgrade to marshmallow but it's impossible too. Really, LG sucks as hell.

i am on Nougat 7.0 (mine is the H960A international, i have unlocked the bootloader) and i have root of course, until some days ago i have the big cores enabled, but i found out a terminal command to disable them and now they are offline.

but anyway, i have done the thermal paste trick almost 1 year ago and until some days ago they run with big cores all the way and never have a problem.

Please could you share with us that terminal command to disable them?

you need to have your phone rooted to this work, have terminal emulator installed.

open terminal emulator and write "su" - without quotes and give SU permissions, then enter the following command:

echo "0" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu4/online

and press enter, and then put the follow the same command to disable second big core:

echo "0" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu5/online

and press enter again.

Use CPU-Z to check if they are disabled, last two cores of the list should say "Stopped". Remember everytime you power off the phone or run out of battery or reboot the phone you need to do this steps everytime since they only work when entered and if the phone are running. BUT If you dont reboot the phone or power off then this command dont need to be entered again.

Hi @stojshic, firstly thanks for your excellent work to resurrect our beloved v10:good:. I've a request, can you make a twrp recovery with 4 cores like on the g4? I think the phone keep using the 6 cores when on recovery mode or download mode.
My v10 was on bootloop, i could'nt access the download mode, when i tried to enter to download mode he gave me the small box flashed on the screen and rebooted stuck on bootloop untill i apply the heat method on the cpu to revived it and with the new root method for the H901 i istalled the twrp recovery, flashed the boot with 4 cores and rooted it. The phone boot and work normally, my problem is after one day of use i attempted to enter the recovery mode the phone stuck on the lg logo sometimes it reboot on the android os, attempted to enter on download mode he gave me the small box like when it was on bootloop. When i aplply heat again on the cpu for 2 mins the recovery mode and download mode come back normally.

I always have to put the phone in freezer before i can get in recovery mood.
But now after the root and flashing the boot.img from OP with twrp recovery, My V10 was live for about 2 weeks and now it bootloop again. I have reflash the boot.img but to no avail.
Probable all the cores are damaged now :crying:
