For some reason the Voice on the Google app doesn't work on versions after 9.84. It is greyed out on those and comes back after I downgrade. Weird.

Does your device show any kind of
Error on dl mode screen. Fused binary or anything?
And make sure repartition is unchecked
Here is what DL mode says when I put it into DL mode.
CARRIER: VZW
RPMB fuse blown
RPMB PROVISIONED
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FRP LOCK: ON
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
RP SWREV: B2(1,1,1,1,1) K1 S2
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
If do mode isn't showing any errors. Then it has to be your PC. People gave had to try several PC's sometimes win 10 gives issues. Other times win 7 or 8. As well as usb 3.0.
Unfortunately, I don't have another PC to try. I have an ubuntu laptop and that's it. I've tried usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports. I'll try a rear USB port and see if that works. The phone shows up in Odin no issue, just won't flash it.

Well, I'll be damned. I plugged it into a rear USB port and it seems to be working, but I'm not getting the green progress bar in ODIN. This is the printout now.

Did this last night on a Canadian g950w that was running 9.0 pie. Had to do the safestrap method for bl 5 then installed this ap from safestrap and its working so far. Only thing other than the 80% battery that I'm aware is unfixable is the screen dims and flickers and I have to reboot the device to fix it. I'm not complaining in the least I haven't had root since my note 4 I never rooted my note 7 or s7.
Now I can finally spoof my wifi mac and run a full Linux emulator. Yay thanks a ton
The flicker is from aod if you let it set a sec. It from turning the screen off and on to fast. I have a hack method to charge past 80% as well
@Goddly or anyone else, I am having an insane amount of modem crashes w/ this ROM (recently due to a move to Oregon; happened rarely before) and was wondering if someone could shed some light on wether or not they got the modem crashes to stop w/ PCR's ROM's. I'm still on BL v2 w/ the original BQL1 firmware from PCR.. I have searched all of PCR's threads about modem crashes and while I was searching I heard you and PC mention a fix for the modem crashes and was wondering if that 'fix' ever saw thue light of day or if you managed to fix it another way.?

Okay, I don't think mine is because of radio switches but more or less my modem crashes whenever I have 2 apps requesting data from the background. Like my biggest example where I can replicate a modem crash almost 90% of the time is if I am watching YouTube and open up chrome to browse for whatever, that's when my modem hard crashes. Or another example is it could be Spotify and chrome, soundcloud + chrome etc etc. I almost think it's chrome related lol but idk. Anyways I have 2g disabled as well enhanced lte services since before I moved, how would I go about diasbling 3g/4g just to try your theory.? They aren't options in the settings menu.Me and some one else noticed it happens upon radio switching like from 3g to lte. Where pretty sure we have it localized to a radio switching bug. Don't quote me 100% on that but that's what im leaning towards. Try lte only or such and see if it slows down
Must be carrier type settings mine has in network setting lte only global and lte CDMA maybe try radio switcher app and you can select lte only in it.Okay, I don't think mine is because of radio switches but more or less my modem crashes whenever I have 2 apps requesting data from the background. Just an update for you. I haven't reset my phone & I haven't changed any network settings either other than what I could in my settings app but I think I fixed it by guessing (w/ somewhat of an idea of what could cause it; only thanks to prior discussion in threads). Anyways prior my "fix" my phone had crashed like 20+ times in a matter of 40 mins by me making it crash the only way I could which was using Spotify in the foreground playing music + searching anything in chrome (worked every time w/out doubt). Enabling my 2g service made my modem crash worse w/ 2g service on & so did enabling Enhanced LTE Services. So finally I remembered I had amplify installed & I had forgot what I had "limited". Limited was only the 2 things amplify will "limit" by default which is the "NlpWakeLock" for 240 secs by google play services & "NlpCollectorWakeLock" for 240 secs by Google play services. Both of which I didn't limit myself cause I haven't touched amplify since installation. Anyways I took both of those off limit & my phone crashed near instantly, if not quicker than it had been. Shortly after the next reboot, I then limited both of those to 600 secs & my phone hasn't had a modem crash since. Both using Spotify + Chrome; YouTube + Chrome etc. Weird fix I think but my phone hasn't had a modem crash in an hour + ... I don't know if that is the sole issue & why it's Google play related but it works for me so I am not complaining. Will update if I can make it a full 24 hours w/out a modem crashMust be carrier type settings mine has in network setting lte only global and lte CDMA maybe try radio switcher app and you can select lte only in it.
Mine was crashing hard when signal was switching towers and 3g to 4g
Okay, what is "it" exactly.? Like what is the error specifically? Because to be honest with you, I can't trouble shoot an "Everytime I try to Odin it fails. :/". That tells me nothing of your error or what you're even trying to flash. More details first and then we can help you.How does one take a Galaxy s8 back to stock after doing the old original version of SamFail? Everytime I try to Odin it fails. :\ Please assist.![]()
After using this ROM for more than a week now, except for battery, I start liking this ROM and want to continue using it for some time. But now Oreo update coming up and don't want to miss out of Oreo. Is there any plan to upgrade this ROM to Oreo in near future? Generally we used to be ahead with custom ROM, this will be first time, I will be behind stock.
