thx. Did exactly as you said, flashed v29 clean stock and afterwards did the fastboot oem lock command.

the warning at boot dissapeared and now have a ultra stock device.

THX and RESPECT!!!!

While using the v29a ROM, @kessaras said it should be possible to lock the bootloader using "fastboot oem lock", which didn't work for me on any ROM. I decided to give it a try anyways and it actually worked! It wiped my data, and after restoring and all that I rebooted the phone to see if it was actually locked. "fastboot getvar unlocked" gave me a result of "no". Try it out, but beware, your data will be lost. Proof video: https://youtu.be/Tr6E9LaGWRs Before doing this make sure EVERYTHING is stock! This includes custom recoveries. I do not claim any responsibility if anything goes wrong!

Steps (assuming you already have v29 rom installed):
1. Download ADB and fastboot, along with LG drivers (if you don't have them). Connect your phone and start CMD. CD to the folder where your adb and fastboot files are. (pretty obvious isn't it? :p)
2. Type "adb reboot bootloader".
3. Type "fastboot oem lock". This WILL wipe your data, and I'm NOT responsible for it!
4. Enjoy your locked phone.
it works very well.

i installed the V29A and did this procedure, and then went back to the marshmallow and left the startup blocked.

thank you. :fingers-crossed:

So after reading all those posts i decided to relock my bootloader just for Google Pay. Is there a way of android knowing that i had an unlocked bootloader after all that stuff?

PS. I have tried everything for google pay to work on my unlocked phone without success, that's why i want that "lock" so bad even though i have a xiaomi mi a1 now.

UPDATE 23/6 : I did the procedure and it succeed. Bad news. Phone still appears us Unsupported in Google Play Store and Google Pay wont work.

You can just flash a misc partition from the kdz of your ROM.
You can backup through my backup method without TWRP within download mode - even on locked devices.

After locking the message will disappear.

Please read carefully the note about relocking! When you lock your device ensure that it is completely stock BEFORE! No TWRP or other modifications like root! It will brick your device!
That's the meaning of locking the bootloader!

Absolutely not. Only when running LL! All restrictions reapply when you lock down the device!

You will not loose your apps and user data but read my above notes!

hi

i currently have lgg4 H815 device that i unlock the bootloader with UsU using SALT
i am using a custom rom LineageOS 15.1 with twrp-3.2.3-PREVIEW-144_g4_O
from what i read so far i wanna know if i understood everything right

can i first reflash kdz/tot using LGUP b4 doing anything?
which kdz/tot should i use v20 or 29a ?
at this point will i still have twrp or is it gone?
if i dont have twrp what can i do?

is it better to just reflash 29a tot with LGUP and then
"adb reboot bootloader".
"fastboot oem lock"

?

Wow.. Read FAQ 1 and FAQ 2 in the UsU thread again.. Maybe 3 or 4 times until you're sure that you understood everything before trying to HARD BRICK your device ...
