Might sound like an undcredible source but i have a friend who had a replacement G4 from LG after his bootlooped a few weeks ago. After having a look at it I realised that ir was running nougat and i checked the about device whichcame to show it was running v30A. I gather that this means 7.0 shouldnt be too long for us

Unless I see screenshots and preferably a video I call fake too. Why would LG flash Nougat on a phone went for service? I also assume this (of real at all) is a test build. Why would they flash an early test build on someone's phone? Without a proof I'm not willing to believe anything.
There's no way this is true. LG had my phone a month and I just got it back. They put out an update the day I got it to 21A, but it still came to me on 20A. This thread should just be deleted
How to spot a fake ? Simple. First of all, if that phone were running a nougat then the interface would have changed like on g5 (don't need to check the version of the software, and since he got it from service, couldn't be a custom rom on it ) and second, is too soon to talk about nougat on g4.
Guys, check this out, my friends sisters aunts boyfriend found a G4 on the street. And when he booted it up it was running Android O, codename Opium, which he was smoking at the moment (talk about coincidence!). Sorry no pics because we only have potatoes in my country, but it is 100% true.

Yeah I agree the thread should be deleted. Unless OP can provide real screenshots and video it's a troll thread.

It's obviously fake. No pics or video means absolutely no proof. Plus there is no way they flashed Nougat on a guy's phone so early. First G5 will get Nougat then the G4. It will take some months before we see it. Thread should be deleted or locked since OP never provided proof for his claims
