I've a LG v40 ATT and it's still network locked planning on crossflashing to Korean firmware I just want to know if it won't affect unlocking in the phone when the unlock code is available

Hi, I'm currently having an LG V40 AT&T LM-V405UA, with AT&T bloatware on it. How do I know if it's unlocked or not, I can use my SIM card from other carrier with no problem. Also, how can I unlock the bootloader if there is no fastboot available on my device? If I were to use LGUP, which one of the firmware file should I use?
