There really is no such thing as "best" sound settings. Sound is very subjective. What sounds good to one person may sound bad to another. Also, music genre plays a roll in how you set your sound up, as well as the type of device you are listening through (e.g. one brand/model of earbud will sound different than another and therefore adjustments will have to be made to that specific earbud).

Best is to just play around with the settings until you come up with something you like.

choose hotfix version to install and yes there is telegram group to help u

Be on November stable firmware
It is suggested that you first run the stable flash all script, skip setup, reboot to bootloader. then fastboot set_active other, run the flash all again, then follow the instructions from this step below. *
reboot to recovery (when you get to the "no command" screen, briefly hold power, tap vol up to enter stock pixel recovery)

wipe data/factory reset

reboot to bootloader

fastboot update rom.zip

If I'm on December firmware would it be possible to go back to the Nov. one ?

Or would the ROM flash over the December stable firmware ?

+1 on jamesDSP. makes the already great speakers sound better after playing with the settings. Haven't attempted to play with Bluetooth yet but it's a happy substitute for Viper4Android for the time being.

I can confirm, I have it running on my Pixel 7 Pro with Corvus. No issues with Viper repackaged.... and the sound is fantastic ;-)

I wonder if it would work on stock ROM also, if you install the modified Magisk that supports 32 bit app installation.

I'll try it and report back here. I ran Corvus for a while and that ROM comes with 32 bit support - I'm confident it works there like a few others have mentioned but never tried myslef

Decided to try it myself, figured it was about time to learn in case I ever needed a 32-bit app somewhere down the line. I at first glanced over the OP to the patch and figured it was too many words, but it was actually quite simple.

I currently use Spark as my daily, so I tested it out with that. I have 32-bit app support but Viper driver installation was still a no-go, so there's that bit of info to save you the time, unless you still want to try, lol.

So I know we're still in the early stages of this device. But I just wanted to get a thread going for V4A on our device.

For those who came from the 6 Pro like I did, you're probably already aware of this, but for those who did not here's the current situation:

V4A was working fine on Android 12 but when Android 13 came around there were some issues. For most phones they got ironed out and at this point I think basically every other phone on A13 has V4A working EXCEPT for the Pixel 6/6 pro. I tried installing V4A myself on my 7 pro to no avail. I don't know much about the details of why it's not working or what's going on "underneath the hood" so to speak but I can only assume that whatever it is that's causing V4A to not work on my 7 pro is at least somewhat similar to the reason it doesn't work on the 6 pro. There are a few people trying to figure out the issue in a thread over in the 6 pro section on XDA which I will link here if you want to stay more up to date about what's going on:

As a side note, I did manage to get JamesDSP to work on my 7 pro, which is an okay alternative for the time being. Not exactly the same but it's better than nothing for sure. The main thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't auto switch profiles when you change between audio devices of the same type, for example switching from bluetooth earbuds to bluetooth car speakers.

I'm sorry my post was not clear. I should have worded it better. I did use search. I found it, but was struggling with the instructions to make it work. I missed the part about saying that it was a different device. Thank you for your response and assistance. Now I am up and running, is there a list of what all the settings do? I did not see that list on here, perhaps my keyword usage is subpar. I would be grateful if you could send me in the correct direction.

Since V4A uses 32-bit audio drivers, you need support for that. Support for 32-bit apps is not enough, it seems. I'm assuming the Corvus rom has added support for 32-bit audio drivers to allow V4A to work on it while on A13.

I tried both Vipers on stock firmware and couldn't get them to work either. I also installed the modified Magisk that supports 32-bit apps. Still couldn't get viper to install the driver.

I will switch to Corvus now. Too bad that ROM won't be getting updates for a few months ...

Any other ROMs that have 32 bit support in them ?
