How do I find the /data/local/tmp directory and copy the systemrw folder there?
You should more, more, more of heavy use it ...also install an app accubattery just so you know if there problem after crossflashed kdz ...Yes I did, probably not more than 2 days as I wanted to experiment and flash all KDZ's available for the V60. Last time I flashed yesterday morning. Charged it last night. This morning, still not showing.

- Download and install QPST, when installed launch it and select the firehose and Nand type e.g. UFS.
- Download and install this LGUP from here: . In the installer select "Install LG Drivers"
- Put phone into edl mode, here is how: Hold Vol- and pwr, when the screen turns black keep holding them and Repeatedly press vol+ You will see "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" under "Ports (COM & LPT)" in device manager when it is in edl. If the screen shows anything after reboot, instantly retry again.
- When it is in EDL Mode, open partition manager and make a backup of these partitions "FTM, OP_A OP_B, MODEM_A MODEM_B, SID_A SID_B.
- After backing up, erase the same partitions "FTM, OP_A OP_B, MODEM_A MODEM_B, SID_A SID_B.
- Now after erasing it is sort of important to not let it boot to android, and instead boot to download mode. Here is how: force reboot with vol- and pwr button. As soon as it disconnects from windows, Release the Vol- and Power buttons and hold Vol+ to get into Download Mode.
- When it enters Download mode, open LGUP and select partition DL. Select your favourite V60 KDZ too.
- 8. Click on start, then it will prompt you to select partitions that can be flashed, select every partition EXCEPT "SID_A SID_B AND ABL_A ABL_B" then confirm.
(NOTE: DO NOT CLICK "SELECT ALL" IT IS BUGGED AND WILL FLASH ALL PARTITIONS, EVEN IF UNSELECTED AFTER)- Let it install, after that you should be done, hidden menu won't work but you can install this apk to be able to enter hidden menu and fix the fingerprint on an unlocked bootloader.

No I don't .Do you happen to know what partition what partition controls fastboot mode. I can 9008 that one out of my second v60 and then load it into the first on?
Yes, you can use banking applications, but root itself does not mean that you will be able to modify system files without disabling the RCT service. I don't have the ability to modify system files at the moment, which means I can't remove system applications, but it doesn't pain if you have root.Ok, so can anyone confirm that the root is a success on a V60 device?
Since there isn't any custom recovery for this phone, what exactly is achieved by unlocking bootloader and rooting?
If I would root this I'd like to be able to use banking apps, Gpay etc and permanently gain high impedance mode since I'm using Beats headphones and the only way I can trick the quad DAC is by using an extender and plug in a 64 ohm earbud first.
Thanks for the explanation. I rooted again yesterday, tried to modify the XML file in vendor/etc for the quad DAC, but couldn't and I didn't know why.Yes, you can use banking applications, but root itself does not mean that you will be able to modify system files without disabling the RCT service. Tried that, still failed to copy a modified XML![]()
V60 Bootloader Unlock and Magisk Root
Earlier today I was alerted to https://www.cnblogs.com/yanhua-tj/p/15525593.html which has the actual firehose and steps to unlock! However it seems to be in Simplified Chinese so I'll translate it here for you. The firehose is attached below...forum.xda-developers.com
Making system R/W

Have you tried turning on System R/W in your choice of file explorer? I've been out of the phone modding scene for a while and forgot all about that.
You can ask Leronex to backup your original firmware with Medusa, than you can cross flash, I've done that, happy with the EA ROM. Wouldn't go back to AM.I probably should have asked this before... But, which partition is my original firmware? I can find kdz files online for all variants except for AM. If i want to restore my original AM firmware... I'm guessing leronex's instructions had the foresight to back up the partition including the firmware?
How would I restore it?
edit: I wussed out and didn't crossflash yet and restored the erased partitions ... Until I get an answer to this post. ... JUUUUST in case... -- because I want to make sure i have a way to restore AM after crossflashing incase **** goes wrong..
Unlocked ATT. Was fallowing the steps, but when at LGUP, I get the "Error: 0x6004, CrossDL NA1_US>NA3_US Target_product changed." - no matter which kzd (EA, TM, VM) I try to use. Phone does not start - I get iinto boot loop with message that the device has failed a routine safety check and may not work properly.

I just downloaded and installed Android 12 today actually. I'm on metro pc's (t-mobile). Hope is not lost.No mention of Android 12 coming to the V60 on their last announcement a few weeks ago (instead, they're providing it for the previous gen V50): https://9to5google.com/2022/04/04/lg-v50-android-12-roadmap/
Give it try,but probably not.If it's a variant you can download the firmware for and do an LGUP refurb it may work.I would relock the bootloader first then do the LGUP refurb. so you don't run in to any problems.I have my phone bootloader unlocked. If I try to update it to Android 12, it says "Installation problem". Will it work if I lock the bootloader again and is it safe to update even if my phone is rooted?
I have all the backup of my ABL_A, ABL_B, BOOT_A, and BOOT_B
Thank you
You're all making it so difficult for yourself guys, no update? No problem, just download the kdz and use the upgrade option. No need to relock the bl a thousand times.Give it try,but probably not.If it's a variant you can download the firmware for and do an LGUP refurb it may work.I would relock the bootloader first then do the LGUP refurb. so you don't run in to any problems.
Hey! I'm in the same situation as you, carrier unlocked ATT ebayed to Europe, stuck on A10. Were you be able to crossflash? If so, i would thank you deeply for a quick rundown on the steps![]()
