If Amazon is available in your country, get on of their Fire Sticks: Fire Stick 4K or Fire Stick 4K Max.
The only problem with them is playing local media, due to having only 1 USB port for power and external storage. External storage also only works with drives formated in Fat32, so you are limited in fire size. (I'm not 100% sure about this though).

If you don't have files on external drives or use Plex/Emby/Jellyfin these are the best sticks to get.

If you also want to play media for external drives or live in a country without Amazon, go for the Mi Box S. They are often on sale on AliExpress for about $40

So you're able to flash to another ROM now ?
You get that error message if you're not completely in the recovery mode even if your box pairs with UBT and the OS starts booting up while you are flashing or there is not enough power to the box.

That is normal since the On/Off button is normally IR on the stock remote. You can use Button Mapper Pro to assign a Off button to your air mouse., unfortunately there is no option to turn it back on with an air mouse.

Walmart Onn 4K streaming box, when is on sale for $19.98. It is much better than the Fire sticks, stock Android TV interface. Easy to expand internal storage (8GB, about 5.4GB available, similar to the sticks). It has LineageOS available for it.

Was that Android 9 firmware an AML or update SD card version ?
MyGica does not release AML versions of their firmware for their most their boxes. So owners are pretty much stuck once a SD card update bricks their boxes. I am currently in touch with MiGica/Geniatech tech support fingers crossed they will provide me with the AML version of their firmwares.

I have one more question plz.
Is there a possibility that this ROM won't boot on my device? If yes, then will it boot on recovery? I don't have the recovery button, that's the problem (I boot to recovery using terminal). Thanks again.

tes possability, and same for recovery too, then would need to mask rom mode to flash it if no reset button

Yes, that's what I ended up doing as well. I needed to install the wifi_rtl_all.zip to get Bluetooth working, and needed to place a remote.conf for the device under /system/etc, and after that it's been working great. The ROM is regularly updated as well -- the main reason I sought out an alternative ROM, actually -- there's been another cumulative update (OTA) within the two days since I installed the ROM.

My box works fine again, except that I need to physicaly unplug the power adapter in ordre to boots it again. Can you help ? Did I use the wrong firmware ? Which one is recommanded for m'y M8S Pro+ ?

suggests the dtb may be slighty mismatched or the usboot more probaly, maybe find one thats better fit
