Thx for this work.
I have a box with cpu 912 3/32gb from bqeel mini m8s PRO.
And i managed to install a generic versio 3/4 1000 Lan, but the issue i have now is the hdmi audio. Actually the pcm works and some 5.1 - i think dts and 5.1 eac is not working. (Passtrough).

In the box settings under Audio exists only pcm/spdif/auto/ manual ( no hdmi?)

I will try another ROM but i see they have LAN 100 - does that means 100mbs connection?

Also the one with slow eemc- what that means?

Is there any suggestion to what should i pay attention when flahsing?

Now i have much more info.
I tried a couple of different ROMs, and the ones i manages to install have the same issue. Not sure if something means, but my device has SPDF as well. Anyway, if i play some video with 5.1 in plex or even in VLC and trying to use passthrough, it simple doesn't work, is not sending the audio (before the update was working).

The ROMS i managed to install are from universal GENERIC the ones wiht LAN 1000 (lan100 is not working

My device was named in old system as Mini M8s PRO (Bqeel) 912 - 3g / 64g and the board q201

Thanks for replying on this and other question i had with other box. On this m8s pro + i did get sound by forcing audio transcode, by settings in plex for passthrough-optical then it lets you select codecs and uncheck ac3 will force plex to transcode audio to mp3. that's enough for me. i use mythtv and someone there made an app for playback from mythtv server that use exoplayer and he made an option to use ffmpeg for audio instead of mediacodec. on that (same player plex uses), there was no audio on any ac3 > 2 channel,. but the ffmpeg worked. Thanks for your great work. the rom breathes life into these old boxes. on the 912, nothing i tried worked but yet the last release for that box on coreelec is working pretty well and they manage the wifi and bluetoooth, but that is on the original kernel not a later kernel,.

I installed this in x96 air P2 version m. but no remote works, the stock one, Not even the usb air mouse ones. Mouse works but not the up down buttons. Please help

Thank you but it is not working.
I installed termus (Version 0.118.0).
when I type su it shows "termux no su program found on this device"
when I type sudo reboot update it shows "no superuser binary detected"

Do you know how to get root Permissions?

Did you find any solution? I also thought I'd try the version 8. But it's only available for V2 variant. It's not there for p2

hi, have h96 x3 intall the rom update march 2022 but have a problem, all works great but if I unplug the power cord it doesn't turn on again.

Sugestion: since competitor(s) now has "minislimtv" version too, have you ever considered to build a "Google-free" (= privacy oriented) custom ROM for these risky Chinese boxes too ?

We already suggested this idea on \e\ forums too, of course:

in which there is only

Formatted and reinstalled Aidan's Rom V8, on Windows 11 using the tool for my X96 Max Plus! So, can confirm it's working with no issues! Just uninstall and reinstall version 2.2.0 of the tool! Maybe Windows 11 is having problems detecting the drivers! After reinstalling, It detects devices normally!

Ur mean uninstall and reinstall burningtool in win11? When plugin androidtv?

Great Rom, I've been using it for some time now. I noticed that updates are not frequent, I know that it must be a difficult job to port the rom to so many devices with different characteristics. In my case I have an H96 Max X2. As well as some reports here, I also have some bugs. Will a V10 come out with these fixes?

Regarding HD Streaming issue with PrimeVideo and other apps because of widevine L3...
I found this method using Magisk to change the widevine to L1.

Has anyone tried it and know if it really works? I tried to install Magisk on my box (a95x f3 air s905x3) but I couldn't.

I pressed the reset key it took me to the Android recovery menu
Selected Apply update from ADB and tried the USB Burning Tool
PC did not detect the box (Used USB C to USB A cable to connect the box.
Got the following message
failed to set driver control
Now send the package you want to apply to the device with "adb sideload <filename>"

Tried Apply update from EXT and selected udisk
Downloaded Aidan Rom's image & saved as dtb.img in Fat 32 formatted USB
However, it does not show the dtb.img file when I try to flash from USB

Do I have to do anything else

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
