I installed it on my Vontar X3 and it works perfectly. Except that it will power on randomly while it's supposed to be sleeping. On first boot, it shows "boot" on the Vontar X3 led screen on the box until I turn it off. Time and other indicators like WiFi/Ethernet do not work. Anyway, thanks for your fantastic work!

I was getting the same error, kept bombing out on UBOOT step.
For me the fix was to hold reset button after starting flash, keep holding until UBOOT step fishes, then release reset button.

This worked 3 different times for me, so hopefully it helps.

Has anyone yet found a solution for using a Fn-Link 8223A-SR bluetooth device?

I have a S905W (v1.0 board) with 8223A-SR C12001 1748 chip on it. Trying a bunch of the firmwares available for download, I can get everything to work except bluetooth.

I've seen suggestions that a Q9337 driver might work, but I don't see that on any of the S905W image filenames. Is there a way to replace the driver afterwards or something?

Also, I notice that the buttons on the remote seem to work differently from firmware to firmware. Usually the back button does nothing (but right mouse click on a USB keyboard works?), sometimes the OK button does nothing... is there any way to customize this?

Edit: After unsuccessfully trying all the S905W firmwares, I noticed there was one S905X firmware that mentions QCA9337: 3. [v9] Aidan's ROM [S905X] [ATV 9] (RTL, QCA9377, LTM8830).img

I tried this one, and it did boot. (I was not sure if S905X is supposed to be compatible with S905W or what?) I did successfully pair my bluetooth headphones, but unfortunately it is silent. Can't seem to do anything to get it to make sound, but at least it can pair?

It seems the audio just always is sent to HDMI no matter what. After pairing the headphones, I can press the volume up/down buttons and there's now a bluetooth icon on the volume indicator... but the audio itself only goes to the HDMI. These headphones work fine when paired with other devices, and this feature did work correctly on the firmware that original came with the device (but unfortunately that firmware has been lost).

Incidentally, this S905X firmware also makes Power OK and Back buttons work from my remote as expected. (Somehow the 3 universal S905W firmwares were each different from each other about which buttons worked? It's a strange inconsistency.)

Hello Dears, i have good news, after 3 days of hard work, i archivied install news remote controls, this ROM not accept changes on archives .kl like generic.kl, u have change the files .tab, like remote.tab1, 2, 3, etc. You must go up the path /vendor/etc and paste the new files, the files work's fine with this control.

Hi @morette17br, can you tell me step by step to apply the remote patch? I've been using this ROM and it's working great for my X96 S905X 1/8Gb. The only problem is with the remote control and luckily my remote is the same with yours.

Helo All,

I have installed an Android TV v9 ROM in an Old PC (Laptop) and is operating OK,smooth but i have a Problem.

This ROM is Identifiesd as Nexus Player that it's OS has DRM Widevine L3. Unfortunately i need to run IPTV App from Vodafone which needs DRM Widevine L1 that this ROM (Aidans ROM s905X3) have.

Since is a PC and not an IPTV Device, i cannot make this in Recovery Mode and patch ROM via USB Burning Tool.

I Run Android TV OS (v9) TWRP put an SD with Your ROM but trying to install IMG file it ask from user to select partition to flash but is grayed so flash fails.

Actuall the need is to have a PC running any Android TV Version (e.g v7, v8, v9, v10, v11, v12) and have enabled DRM Widevine L1 so to be able to watch Vodafone TV & Disney+.

Any ideas to make that true ?

Hi developer, I'm glad you developed this firmware, but there is one issue I need to give you feedback on. My box is X96 MAX PLUS2 4G and after I use this firmware, the original IR remote control doesn't work anymore and also hmdi-cec can only be turned off but not on.
This is part of the key mapping I got from coreelec, I hope it will help you in your adaptation work

Will this ROM work seamlessly on Sunvell T95K Pro (S912, 3/32GB, Gigabit Ethernet, dual band WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac 2.4G+5.8G, Bluetooth 4.0. Unfortunately I don't know what the WiFi chip is.) Will I not lose the ability to use toothpick/reset hole recovery after installation?

I tried to flash my mxq pro 4k with amlogic s905x with the universal RTL & BCM, RTL & SSV, RTL - QCA - LTM and finally with Qualcomm QCA ROM.
And whith the three roms u had the same error.

To begin with, I want to express my gratitude for your efforts. I encountered numerous issues when attempting to install specific applications on the Vorke Z1, but thanks to this rom, I was able to overcome them.
Everything operates flawlessly and quickly, with one exception: upon turning off the TV box, it switches on for a few seconds before shutting down. This process repeats a few times until it automatically turns on after a couple of hours. I did not face this problem with the original firmware before installing the rom.
Did anyone else experience this issue and found a fix for it?
