It looks like i will have to stay on Android 7 then as i have tried everything to get my laptop to install your Android 9 rom via USB Burning tool, my laptop/USB Burning tool does not see my Mecool M8s at all.

yhea if your device cant be seen by burning tool then mask rom mode may be required, this is uasally achieved by shorting some pins on your logic board, then connect usbcable, this makes the box appear like it has empty flash storage and needs a firmware, its possible your current firmware has an incompatible bootloader that broke the reset button or USB Burning tool detection

I installed atv 9 on s905x and works amazing. Would like to install on s912 m8s plus L. Not pro. Does anyone have any idea about where I can start. I know this tv box is not very common and I've tried many roms before and nothing works. Can't find anything really online about this box, except libreelec. Does anyone have any experiance with this box? What am i missing? Need help.

depends, sometimes there's info online, sometimes need to figure out what nand chip you have ad research the right pins, and then seeing if your board has easily accessible pins

there could be several reasons, from DTB, uboot, RAM Type, like ddr4 or lpddr3 ect...
i say you posted of a few threads, might be helpful to start a thread too, that way your question shows up in the forum, may help getting some info

Thanks for the fast reply. I have a copy of original firmware. I could try swapping some files to see if I can get it working. If I send you a link to firmware do you think that you can help guide me. I have tried with other firmwares but never got it going. I'm no expert but able to follow directions. Thank you in advance.

unfortunately not possible with android 7 and android 9, amogic moved from kernel 3.xx to 4.xx with android 8 so most files and kernel modules and most other files are not compatible, even the DTB wont work

So if I understand correctly, it would be possible to modify an android 7 to work with this box? If so do you have one and what files should I swap?

Installed Your ROM into my 16/2 Amlogic 912 and I'm impressed!
Used to enjoy MinixFreak ROM (Android 7.1), but playing with Yours, I haven't find ANY bugs nor hangs/crashes.
Considering to install it into my main unit.

ok so i regards to you other post, yes this is a soloution BUT the patch you have is for android 7 and older (it wants to put it in sysrem/lib rather than vendor/lib, i have a box with a qca9377 chip (S905X) and i had to manually patch that file before flashing, so i do have a working libbt-vendor file

With widevine, unfortunately unless you have a 9.0 firmware with widevine then keeping widevine isnt possible, only way ive managed to get widevine on my rom is by porting my rom to my devices widevine stock pie rom o

I've got the exact same Mecool M8S Pro L (LQ version, so the wifi/bluetooth module is the LTM8830/Qualcomm QCA9377) box and apart from a few issues with bluetooth and widewine L3, the below rom appears to be working correctly for me:

Would you imagine that this approach (patching the image manually with the libbt-vendor file) could solve my issue with the bluetooth module in the Mecool M8S Pro L (LQ) as well?
What tools did you use please to patch the img file?

H96 Max X3 4/32 (s905x3) wifi, ethernet, bluetooth, ir remote all hardware working. Looks great, there is no problem thank you.

Hello, I've tried both V4 android 9 S912 ROM's on my YOKA TV KB2 (non pro version, 2GB ram) in the files on G Drive(I believe the third one is for a different box?) but I get no WiFi (can't test ethernet as I don't have access to that)both ROM's boot and work except WiFi, I'm using the slimbox android 9 ATV ROM on my box and WiFi and Bluetooth both work. when doing a future update for the S912 ROM would you consider support for the YOKA TV KB2 or MECOOL BB2 (non pro versions) ?

no worries, have you tried shorting those pins and holding short prior to plugging the box with a usb A-to-A cable?

Voila la solution pour les problèmes de sont sur MON CANAL.

Depuis la mise à jour 4.5.0, il vous est possible de "Forcer l'audio en stéréo" dans le menu caché des réglages de myCANAL.

Comment accéder au menu caché?

• Ouvrir l'application myCANAL
• Se rendre dans la rubrique "En plus" (...)
• Choisir le menu Réglages
• Suite 4 à 5 fois consécutivement sur le N ° de la version myCANAL
• Le son "tchi tcha" va être joué puis une vidéo "Message à caractère informatif" apparaît à l'écran.
• Faire "retour arrière" (flèche à gauche de "réglages")
• Se rendre dans la section DEBUG
• Acteur "Forcer l'audio en stéréo"
