Ok, my name is Nic, Note 7 updated on it's own one night, did NOT have package disabler.

Scoured the internet for ways to revert to stock firmware. I have obtained the stock t mobile firmware, and the rooted version of sprints firmware. (this is the same method that works with t mobile as well as sprint) Obtained Odin 3.12.4, and smart switch.

OEM is on, USB debugging is on, and in downloading mode.

I am unable to root with odin due to the flashing of the firmware continuously fails. I am unable to flash the stock firmware due to it continuously failing. I am unable to utilize smart switches emergency software recovery for it does not show up to be selected, nor the initialization process for it is no longer supported.

I have ran out of perceived options and have followed various methods in which to reverse this.

Note 7- first batch

N930T-PK1

I just want 100% battery at this point, root be damned.

thank you for anyone willing to help in advance. No I will not turn in my phone. I'd be glad to rant why, ask me, be that guy.

Even if you succeed, they are about to blacklist the IMEI of phones still out there... it seems pretty hopeless.

It would block it from the phone network. It would still work on WiFi. They are soon sending a firmware to take them off the network, I'd guess the IMEI block will come a couple weeks later.

For those of us that have been disabling the OTAs since day one getting a crippling firmware update isnt a worry. And if they do block IMEI numbers there are ways around that also.

No biggie either way

What would blacklisting the IMEI do exactly? prevent any functionality of the phone?
Dont listen to the Samsung sent troll, imei blacklisting is easy to bypass.
Google it :)

Thanks for all the feedback

But with my attempts and methods above not working, ya'll seem chill about it being easy. Please tell me what Im missing or haven't tried yet. Still on 60% battery, and I'll look up the imie thing when the time comes.

I have the stock firmwares, just no way to flash it, (above reasons)

Thanks, Nic

My build number is N930TUVU2APK1 I have been searching for the stock firmware for this and can't find it. Can anyone help?

UPDATE:

So I managed to learn that the last 3 digits of the build number are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. I had PK1, and needed PI4 to revert it back. there is no root for PK1 or PI4 as of right now. but I am charging past 60% though, and I downloaded package disabler pro. I am still getting the warning message and asking me to update. How do I get these to go away?

If they block your IMEI and you have an older Samsung phone that you OWN just get someone to flash the new IMEI using an eeprom read/write tool. Fairly easy.

It's illegal if you don't own the other IMEI. Just an FYI.

If you bought the phone in another country you can also change the region of the device by getting that flashed as well through the eeprom

But if you own the device they shouldn't be able to block the imei.

That sounds pretty illegal on its own. Those are also just rumors.

Can I please get a link to a step by step guide to fixing this as I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I got an S7 Edge coming, but it wont be here until the 18th. I need this phone to last at least until then or I'm in a bad way.

I have a problem. I have always been a strong believer in not updating anything so from very beginning I made sure my Note 7 wasn't ever gunna update. The problem is my Note 7 is working perfectly and making it very hard to turn in since it isn't making any problems in my life. I could use some drama, maybe they Could even force a return with refund just to punish a boring good person. Could someone help me?

Theres a few threads around here that outline what to do.

You can search for them as easily as I could :D
