Download to pc first then extract and put in the dload folder in the phone
OK so i have downloaded the file twice now and what happens is when I select to extract the file it gives a message saying extraction error.
Surly though the file must already be extracted as its 2.4gb?

How should the extracted file and folder look in the dload folder before I flash? Does the file I have above just need to be renamed? Is it because I'm on 432-180 at the moment it will not go back to this lower version or is it something to do with the red warning message on start up?

Your download is corrupted. Try downloading a different way like Mostar088 said

Hello dear developers...Recently I bought a used Huawei p9 lite vns-l21c150b106 single sim...It is cosmote branded and I want to debrand it cause I found out by searching that there are several updates such as b150...When I try to update my phone it says that has the latest updates...I wanted to ask if there is a way to debrand it and return to official Europe stock rom without void my warranty...I found a way in the internet through local update via sd card but I don't find the stock rom Europe(I live in Greece)for my single sim vns-l21...I found only vns-l21c432b160 which is for dual sim...I think that vns-l21c150b160 must be for my single device,i suppose that the difference is c150 and c432...any solution please??? Also the only way to debrand does require unlock bootloader and root???I don't want to void my warranty...

Hello, this is more of a Q&A but I just got a free Huawei P9 yesterday and I am having a look to see what development options there are. This is probably a noob question but what is "debranding" exactly? I read through all of the pages and it seems that its pretty much used to allow you to flash different version of the OS that was not specifically used for your country, am I right to assume this?

My phone is branded...that means when I open or close my device shows up a cosmote logo...the firmware is customized by cosmote and I cant get any updates thus I am stuck to B106...For that so I want to debrand it and return to official Europe stock rom...But I don't want to unlock bootloader neither root my phone...build number is vns-l21c150b106...should normal flash with the dialer-sd update work for my case or I will brick my phone???

I'm in exact same situation. I have a P9 EVA-L09GBRC555B160. clearly not the latest update. Branded device to 3 UK. I am not looking to root or unlock the bootloader. Surely there must be a way to manually update official stock roms no? Is debrand really required?

I've given up on the p9 for now. Returned back to my s7. The p9 is a very well designed device. Not keen on the branded UI though. I've used emui before on my honor 7. It's not all bad. Just not keen on waiting for updates when they are already available, due to carrier branding. Happy Christmas everyone. :) And a happy new year.

Could a kind soul point me in the right direction please?

I have a P9 EVA-L09 running C440B138 on the UK, EE network (It doesn't seem to be branded as there is no EE splash screen at power on/off and no EE bloatware but I may be wrong. I have no other nano SIM to check). I'd like to be able to take the latest updates of firmware but I'm a little confused with the different methods etc. I'm looking for the simplest method to do so, without installing TWRP or Rooting the phone (if possible), if I have to do these things then so be it, but, is it possible just to get onto the latest firmware without TWRP/ROOT? I have a bootloader unlock code from Huawei.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I'm on the same network, yeah you are branded. If you open the browser the homepage should be ee? ee don't put bloat on there phone anymore but still put there custom OS on. You have to root etc. Basically what you need to do is unlock bootloader, install twrp, root and then follow the first half of the video in the first post but obviously use the p9 options.

You also might get a message appear saying password to decrypt storage just enter it wrong 3 times then a reset button will appear, that's normal just click it :).

I see, I've never opened the browser, only used Chrome. Thanks so much for your help and clearing that up for me. Was hoping to avoid rooting. Will installing C432 replace TWRP with stock recovery and unroot?

Yeah it will. It all takes a bit of time but when u know it all it's not to complicated and if you on a locked device it's pretty much a must, who knows when locked devices will ever get an update.
