Vega Kernel

I'm aware that the kernel source for the Vega is being released at the end of the month, but was just wondering what advantages a custom kernel will bring? Will it allow both cores of the Tegra 2 to be used? How about overclocking and fixing the WiFi sleep issue? Will it be able to fix ClockworkMod instability?

Does anybody more knowledgeable than me know what benefits could come from a custom kernel? A lot of questions, I know, but would help me see where development with the Vega is going.

Overclocking and wifi mods certainly possible once we have kernel sources, as are other little tweaks that can make the rom work that bit better.

Good to know, the WiFi sleep thing has been doing my nut in! Really want to see how well a overclocked Tegra runs as well. 40nm, wonder how far it'll go :)
