Verizon and Fast Dormancy

I couldn't find on whether or not this would be beneficial for Verizon users. The rom I'm currently using (Beans build 6) allows me to disable it.

I see many posts of people on the Web asking how to disable for their phones and carriers and was curious as to if disabling it was beneficial for Verizon users, or detrimental.

I've searched everywhere and can't get an answer either. Hopefully someone will chime in.
