Verizon is shipping pre-orders out tomorrow!

To my knowledge they're FedEx Two-Day - but this is the first time I've preordered through Verizon.

Normally when they ship out replacements they ship it 2 to 3 business days. So I'm guessing it's the same shipping method. So either Wednesday or Thursday we should receive it.

Leave a note(no pun intended) for the driver with the tracking number, your name and signature, never had a problem. They take the note and leave my package.

I just signed up for Fedex Delivery Manager. You can customize the delivery to a specific time window or alternate location or leave the driver instructions and pre-sign for the delivery.

I'm going to make sure it arrives after I'm home from work!

You can also use the FED-X site to have the package rerouted to nearest Kinko's or Fed-X pick up facility if you cant sign.

Fedex is usually 2nd day air... that's why we had the option to pay more for overnighter at the time of preorder... but a good chunk of people will get it the next day if they live close to the recieving sort facility.

Yeah... all over the place...

Typically with a large shipment like this it will be sent to a main hub and loaded on planes to sort facilities across the country... that should be done by after midnight or very early AM Wednesday ... if you live near a sort facility it will go straight to delivery ... if it has to be put on an 18 wheeler and trucked to your towns dispatch center then that's what takes the extra day.

If you live near any good sized airport, you're probly near a sort facility.

FedEx doesn't deliver in my area until pretty late in the evening. (right on the outskirts of a major city with a main airport) Would I be able to schedule it to be left at the FedEx facility to pick up earlier in the day or does it have to fail delivery first?

I'm lame enough that I took a vacation day from work for this, I didn't want to miss it and have it be delayed because I was still at work and missed signing.

You can even set it to notify you when the tracking number is generated so you'll know immediately when it ships.

For some reason it won't let me sign up for it. I press continue and it tells me I exceeded my login attempts.

You can specify a time window, an alternate address, special instructions or even pre sign for it and tell them to leave it in the back yard or wherever. (although it costs $5, worth it imo)

On My VZW, it shows today's date and says "still PROCESSING" but....

Any ideas? Think the lack of payment is holding it up?! I hope not. Ordered ASAP on the first day of pre-orders.

Just check in the morning. Remember they are processing hundreds of THOUSANDS of orders. Verizon is literally raking in the dough.

Lol - you make it sounds like there is a person with a clipboard who is filing paperwork on the orders and where they should go. this isn't santa's elves. computers do all the work. haha

I see that we don't have the option to set a delivery timeframe on this order. Anyone able to do this?
