One more question about Call Forwarding

As someone told me the T-mobile Call Forwarding code not work in thie Verizon Prepaid, the Phone app also do not see the Call Forwarding menu when I am using it with a T-Mobile Sim.

Is there a way to do call forwarding if I am only have this phone while on the go?

Thanks.

You cannot do call forwarding as this feature is locked to verizon.
As a work around here is what you can do:
As a work around I put your sim in the old phone, setup call forwarding & then put the SIM back in Moto E4. Since call forwarding is setup at provider level it, moto E4 will read the settings from SIM/account & you can have call forwarding on your moto e4.
To disable it, do the same.

It asked to try a new root strategy, something it hasn't done before. It usually only asks if there is root for the device (in my experience). Has anyone been able to gain root?

Hello new xt1767 ownerhere..

Umm.. I got the $2 ebay code from unlockscout... but something is going weird with my truphone/att sim.. when I put it in.. I can't answer calls and get some text I missed a call or something? and when I try to dial out I instantly get a error as well? it's like the dialer app won't allow me...

So I'm guessing maybe I screwed up the unlock somehow??

I did these 2 commands also from this tutorial

> pm uninstall -k --user 0 package_name

#disable 'no SIM found' notification for VZW Moto E4
> pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.motorola.setupwizard.phoneservice

So I'm wondering if this explains why I can't get it to work on ATT?

Go to settings (wireless & networks, I think) and select 3G instead of LTE. Make a call. Go back & switch to LTE again. You're good to go...even during reboots. However, if you remove, switch sims, you'll need to do it again.

that didn't work.. fact is you have to put in your gsm sim.. then..

In Settings, go to "more", open "cellular networks" then "preferred network type", choose 3G or 2G, test regular voice calls if it doesn't work try another choice of preferred network and test again. Restart your phone. If settings don't change automatically you might be able to change back to LTE and still have it work

And then it worked instantly :) (if you bootup with the verizon 4g sim you won't even see 3G! in the settings) :( found this information on a SD thread of all things.. https://slickdeals.net/f/10418732-s...rtphone-39-90-w-free-store-pickup?p=103080816

Fact is, what I told you to do was basically what you did. It was assumed your GSM sim was inserted.

Well your first mistake was using King root. I've had nothing but trouble with that crappy piece of malware that doesn't give true root anyway.

It wouldn't work anyway because this model has a locked bootloader making it virtually impossible to root until Verizon lets loose with their code which probably won't happen for a while.

To my knowledge, no one has been able to root this yet. My partner has one of these and I would gladly pay $ to someone who could. Not a lot though. After all, it's a $40 phone tops. He paid 20 for his

It does give true root. I use it and I get rid of it the second I'm able. If it weren't for KingRoot, I wouldn't have a bad ass Amazon Kindle with a custom tomorrow 6.0 (it had 4.0. it also allows programs to flash custom recovery if possible.

You can still debloat this phone. Which is what I'm slowly doing. It's a simple adb or shell command:

Code:
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.package.name

I debloated using the batch file in this post from a Canadian website: https://tinyurl.com/y8cysmma

Agree, great phone. This is replacing my Nexus 6p for now. Performance is snappy. The only tradeoffs seem to be gaming performance and a 720p display, which is fine with me. I like the size and weight, and it's nice to have an FM radio. $40 at walmart, $2 unlock code, and debloated all Verizon apps with above batch file. Working 100% on AT&T Prepaid: all 3G, HSPA+ and LTE working according to LTE discovery app.

Picked up a phone today, purchased the unlock code..... and I'm waiting. Then thanks for the debloat info. I had a Blu R1 HD before and I hope to be as happy with this. Love the fact it has a fingerprint sensor. Was able to get it from Best Buy with a price match from Walmart. Ended up paying 35$

I've read to make sure you turn off updates just in case Verizon pushes one to block the unlock. So what updates are safe?

so no Android Nougat updates because of Verizon?
Google Play Store updates should be ok?
