I didn't order during the glitch, but I ordered on the 3rd line (basic $10/month) with intentions swapping yo my main line unlimited data, and wanted to share the process that worked for me.
The phone came with pre installed SIM. Called the number on the "activation guide" and activated the phone on my 3rd line. Signed out then back into Verizon's website to see the Note 3 activated. Then I chose to switch a device. Put my old basic phone onto the 3rd line, it made me choose a data plan, chose 75mb $10 ( I'll get back to this). Signed out and back in to see everything update properly on the website.
Removed the pre installed SIM card VERY carefully with a small pair of pliers. Installed the SIM from my main line (unlimited data) and activated right away.
All is well, kept my unlimited data. Called Verizon right away. Gave them my 3rd line number, I asked right away that I needed the data added to my 3rd line removed. With a little chuckle like he'd already done it 15 times today said "No problem at all. How do you like your Note 3?" Overall the process was painless and Verizon was actually helpful. If you follow the steps right you'll be rocking a half priced Note 3 with unlimited data Iin no time
