If you all pretty much bought the phones from a carrier, they're all snapdragons. The international variants of anywhere else are Exynos.

That is the main reason why I asked if he was in the U.S. If I had known before hand I wouldn't have even asked, thank you for the input though. :)

Here is the Rom from @jrkruse that I'm running and it's running smooth and he has allot of the fixes already in his latest version including supersu already in the zip file. You just have to flash the u firmware and root first install flashfire and flash

Hot and Battery issues

I have set the CPU governor to both interactive and ondemand. The phone gets very hot very fast and the battery life is much worse now.

The root is definitely working but with these issues as others have reported I may have to revert the phone back to stock. Any ideas on what the issue may be?

I went back to stock for these same reasons for now. But even on stock my battery life has been pretty crappy. down to 62% at noon, from 8am, doing like 5 minutes of fallout shelter, and then some reading some emails.

Remove the kernel mods and the tool you used:

Goto here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039

and flash S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip with flashfire.

The CPU tuner do not understand our CPU. That zip will make persitnat changes that help.

Issues with step 3 (odin)

Step 3 something isn't working. The log on odin Was saying "<osm> All threads complete. (succeed 0/Failed 0)" and the download mode wasn't rebooting after Eventually I tried manual reboot just to test and followed the rest of the steps, did the root checker and it said it's not rooted so it's gotta be this part
imgur(.)com/JDzom9c (apparently can't post links since this is my first post, but this picture helps explain my problem)

Any idea What's going on or what I should do?

Sorry if this was already in the post somewhere, I looked through a few. Pages. And didn't see anything.

Don't mind my random periods or spelling lol. I have fat fingers on my phone

1-Can I update my phone via OTA if I root it? Or only via Odin?
2-If not, will I be able to get OTA updates if I unroot it?
I did a quick search but I didn't find anything.
Thanks.

What did you change it to? I am using Interactive and it helps a lot. Of course, I am max'd out at 1593Mhz - I have not disabled DVFS, but have seen people say it makes a difference.

(On-Demand may run smoother, as cpu utilization was higher, but I imagine it will drain battery more - someone else may confirm)
What is DVFS?

My rooted phone is super slow....I even turned off windows animations. Any other suggestions? Otherwise I'll have to go back to stock :(
Depending what firmware you are on run one of the fixes in this post under the recommended next steps menu. I recommend just one of the fix.zips and not the debloat ones. Also naptime works great to get the phone to doze nicely.

i used S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip
Ah OK. Yes the phone will run slightly slower due to the eng kernel for root but it shouldn't be that noticeable. It dose help if you root from a fresh install of the firmware. I did flip back and forth from rooted to not rooted but decided the trade off was worth root for me.

Gotcha...I rooted so I could use the fancy themes here since the unrooted method won't work after the last update.
