Got it!! Came with 63% charge. Charging it up to full before I turn it on.

Mine was around 50%. Turned it on while it's fast charging and am getting things set up now. Not going to wait for full charge ;). Now just trying to decide whether or not to spring for the additional $99 full immersion promo package. I don't really *need* the 256 GB card since I already have one from the Note 7 promo. And realistically, I doubt I'll use the headphones ever. Guess I could probably resell both for more than $99, but not sure it's worth the hassle. First world problems.

I decided to go with the total immersion package. The headphones might be nice on plane rides. I can probably sell the sd card to pay for the promo.

So far, phone is very nice. Reminds me of my Note 7 but feels better in my hand. I'm glad I didn't go with the S8+ because when I put the S8 in my back pocket, it just fits the height of the pocket without sticking out. The S8+ would definitely be too tall for a standard back pocket.

Still setting up all my apps, so I haven't had a chance to really play with the new features. But so far, I'm loving it.

Oh, and I meant to mention that I used the Shop Samsung app to register for the promo. Seemed simple enough.

And yet mine still only says pre order, ordered on the 31st. Nothing on Fedex reference tracking. Guess I'll be calling Samsung tomorrow.

I did it from my desktop using that link. I already received confirmation from Samsung. I didn't know there was an app but that link worked perfectly. You have to upload your receipt. Doing that may be cumbersome on your phone.

It's pretty simple in the app. It lets you click a button to take a picture of the receipt. However, after you take the picture, it shows you the preview of the picture of the receipt for you to confirm and the picture looks all distorted and grainy. After retaking the picture a few times, I figured it was just a bug in the app and that the picture would upload fine. I guess we'll see.

Got mine.. S8+ .. was worried about the + but i have a note edge and this is just a hair taller than that so i'm good.. Also went for the 99 extra deal.. I have some crappy bluetooth headphones so even if just for that i think its worth it.

Same for 2 of my orders. Why some are scheduled for delivery today and Wednesday is strange. I can only assume FedEx will hold them till friday?
Fedex finally figured out why my delivery times were screwed up.

Any time one of the moron cust service agents touches the order, the delivery changes to 2nd day air. They have to manually fix it back to next day air.

In my case, they screwed up 3 orders.

Anyone that filled in the info on the samsung promotion page, did you just enter the info and get something that says they will contact you later?

I didnt see anywhere to enter my credit card info for the sd card and headset.

Anyone activate themselves online? Did you use the SIM card that came with the phone or the existing one? Trying to activate online and it's not getting very far.
